yeah well it's been like three days I figured I'd just do it for you

El Tomboto, Friday, 20 June 2008 15:48 (seventeen years ago)

i just got a pair of custom vans (slip-ons), courtesy of phil. while it was hard to pass up the chance to create a hybrid skull 'n crossbones/checkerboard masterpiece, i went with a very tasteful dark grey and black color-block theme.

^^
I want

dell, Friday, 20 June 2008 15:56 (seventeen years ago)

tom considers those to be sailor/boat shoes lauren. i however, <3 them. mine being burgundy with stripes of various colours.

Upt0eleven, Friday, 20 June 2008 15:58 (seventeen years ago)

lol vans slip-ons

El Tomboto, Friday, 20 June 2008 15:59 (seventeen years ago)

WHEN I AM HUNGOEVER I CAN'T TIE LACES OKAY?

plus the girl in the shoe store flirted me into buying them.

Upt0eleven, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:02 (seventeen years ago)

diggin the tennis shoes, dell

i need a pair of sneakers/trainers that aren't giant looking and that i can wear with skirts and no socks or just those small thin socks. my pumas are too big looking for this purpose. maybe it is just that my feet are too big looking. also i am not gonna wear keds.

rrrobyn, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:10 (seventeen years ago)

^^
not intended as guidance in your quest, rrobyn...just more <3 posts

dell, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:17 (seventeen years ago)

i need new sneaks really badly! i like super colorful ones though, and have not yet seen an interesting color combo in a style that's not too bulky.

tehresa, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:18 (seventeen years ago)

the key to both you and rrrobyn's quests is the online converse all-star design tool

El Tomboto, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:27 (seventeen years ago)

I still dunno why they don't just send you a coupon for insoles whenever you buy a pair though

El Tomboto, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:28 (seventeen years ago)

i need more support than cons.

tehresa, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:28 (seventeen years ago)

who wares sneakers in the summer it is too hot !

jhøshea, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:30 (seventeen years ago)

well i also need summery sandals or something, but this is the sneakers thread!

tehresa, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:30 (seventeen years ago)

it should be suspended until the fall!

jhøshea, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:31 (seventeen years ago)

^^ yeah me too :/
xpost to tza
i srsly never wear sneakers in teh summer either! but i am wearing a pair today b/c it is kinda rainy and not so cold
i found a pair of girly looking dc shoes online but they are white and tho they look great i will destroy their whiteness with bike grease pretty quickly. and yet, want.

rrrobyn, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:31 (seventeen years ago)

most of my guy friends wear sneakers throughout summer tho

rrrobyn, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:32 (seventeen years ago)

No no, jho, I need sneaks for standing around many hours at tailgate parties, and possib having feet stepped on at shows and games and stuff, plus jumping, climbing slippery bleachers, etc. Sandals or f-flops will not do.

Laurel, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:32 (seventeen years ago)

jhoshie arent you the guy who wanted moccassins because you were too cool for flip flops

deeznuts, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:32 (seventeen years ago)

But I mean I'm just going to buy another pair of Chucks anyway so who cares.

Laurel, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:33 (seventeen years ago)

sneakers are too hot??

wtf do you people wear, then? a mesh bag over each foot with sandpaper glued to the bottom?

dell, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:34 (seventeen years ago)

slip-ons bro

jhøshea, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:35 (seventeen years ago)

slip-ons bros, slip ons

jhøshea, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:35 (seventeen years ago)

they will fulfill all yr sneaker needs while allowing non-sock cool breeze behavior

jhøshea, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:36 (seventeen years ago)

well ive been wearing flipflops like crazy & i no longer feel the need for these extraneous slip-ons' you speak of

btw dells first pair of sneaks look great to me, what are those/what do they cost?

deeznuts, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:38 (seventeen years ago)

xposta
That makes sense; it's nice not to wear socks during the summer. Actually, I don't even own any sneakers, so who am I to opine here, anyhow? I just glue corkboard to my feet before going outside.

deeznuts, they are table tennis sneakers made by I think Butterfly. They go for a mere $60 on the website that I stole the image from.

dell, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:39 (seventeen years ago)

(there should be commas up there. it would be funny if the brand name were "I think Butterfly", though)

dell, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:40 (seventeen years ago)

lol ping pong kicks

jhøshea, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:41 (seventeen years ago)

jhøshea, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:45 (seventeen years ago)

i cant believe you almost conned me into buying those ridiculous footwarmers when my sandles are more than i need already

deeznuts, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:50 (seventeen years ago)

that thing just tickles me pink, that little man face thing

Surmounter, Friday, 20 June 2008 16:50 (seventeen years ago)

dell, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:02 (seventeen years ago)

yeah j i was just saying i almost bought those things when you started that thread about them now realize they are in fact USELESS to anyone w/ a solid pair of sandles

deeznuts, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:03 (seventeen years ago)

this is the style bord

jhøshea, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:05 (seventeen years ago)

flip flops, in addition to being more sensible, are also louder & prouder

you cannot ask for more from fashion

deeznuts, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:08 (seventeen years ago)

flip flops outside the house are a fucking crime and you deserve to have your ugly toes beat in with a ball peen hammer

El Tomboto, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:10 (seventeen years ago)

ok you can wear them at the beach, too, or in transit thereto IF YOU REALLY HAVE TO.

El Tomboto, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:11 (seventeen years ago)

how the hell are flip flops remotely sensible?

tehresa, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:11 (seventeen years ago)

DNFTT

El Tomboto, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:12 (seventeen years ago)

dell, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:13 (seventeen years ago)

deeznuts, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:13 (seventeen years ago)

i need new shoes, good for lots of walking. these are my three most recent favorites:

remy bean, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:19 (seventeen years ago)

i like the red ones!

tehresa, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:19 (seventeen years ago)

i do not "get" the shoestringless cons.

tehresa, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:19 (seventeen years ago)

the reds have been discontinued, which sux cus i would rebuy them.

remy bean, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:20 (seventeen years ago)

if they made full on chucks slipons w/out the vestigial eyelets etc thatd be sweet

jhøshea, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:23 (seventeen years ago)

i'm on the fence about the shoestringless

Surmounter, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:24 (seventeen years ago)

they look weird

jhøshea, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:25 (seventeen years ago)

deeznuts, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:26 (seventeen years ago)

rrrobyn, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:28 (seventeen years ago)

the reds are good!

Surmounter, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:29 (seventeen years ago)

i srsly do not get the no-shoestrings but shoestring holes thing where everything is sewn down on purpose i mean why

rrrobyn, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:29 (seventeen years ago)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v681/sluttstykke/Sportif1.jpg

i've found religion

remy, i like the first two that you posted, but the shoestringless ones, meh...and the last model is shaped too much like an actual foot, which bums me out for some reason

dell, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:32 (seventeen years ago)

because that way people will notice & ask you about it

this is style board, rrroby

deeznuts, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:32 (seventeen years ago)

I hate you guys. Why am I looking at sneaker prawn? I have stuff to do!!!

too ridiculous?

tehresa, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:37 (seventeen years ago)

first i need a scale from 1-10 on what yr personal concept of ridiculous is

rrrobyn, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:38 (seventeen years ago)

not if your nickname is 'misdemeanor'

remy bean, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:38 (seventeen years ago)

lol. i was looking for some purple hightops they have that kinda look like boxing shoes, but are a lot sleeker than the ones above.

tehresa, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:39 (seventeen years ago)

i kind of like crazy shoes. my last ones were black w/ neon piping/stitching. tron shoes.

Surmounter, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:40 (seventeen years ago)

omg surm i am in love with those! except they should be gold, not silver.

tehresa, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:41 (seventeen years ago)

maybe. i would take silver, though.

tehresa, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:41 (seventeen years ago)

you know, if someone wanted to donate $485 shoes to me.

tehresa, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:42 (seventeen years ago)

yea i could TOTALLY do gold!

Surmounter, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:42 (seventeen years ago)

tehresa, i think they're ridiculous, but maybe you could pull it off! seriously!

i'm starting to like them the more i look at them

dell, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:46 (seventeen years ago)

you guys are insane with yr space shoes that look like a freaked-out version of a pair of high-tops i wore in 1986 when i was 11
but i still respect you

rrrobyn, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:48 (seventeen years ago)

eh feel the urge behind the purp hi tops but the execution just isnt there

deej, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:51 (seventeen years ago)

u kids into crazy-ass space shoes should def check creative recs, they have some, uh, interesting designs

http://www.zappos.com/images/729/7292926/6901-543351-p.jpg

deej, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:52 (seventeen years ago)

but deej your shoes are AWESOME!

Surmounter, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:54 (seventeen years ago)

http://www.zappos.com/images/729/7292927/6219-543335-p.jpg

tehresa, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:56 (seventeen years ago)

this would be sort of like what i currently have but all green details instead of turquoise/pink/yellow/purple details.

tehresa, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:57 (seventeen years ago)

o man if i get a dechico its gonna be in these colors for summer:

http://www.zappos.com/images/729/7292927/4998-376475-p.jpg

those nikes are ruined by the pink part ugh

rrrobyn, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:18 (seventeen years ago)

the whole idea that "crazy" fashions should be confined to the runway is so backwards!

Surmounter, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:20 (seventeen years ago)

well then what would we use the word crazy for

El Tomboto, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:24 (seventeen years ago)

so is this the kind of super richness and super amazing good taste that transcend themselves and others, causing implosions of self-knowledge that just all even out to the all-time ultimate fantasy world of 8-yr-old girls where unicorns and shiny things yaaay destroy all monsters and nobody is ever bored or unloved?

rrrobyn, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:24 (seventeen years ago)

i mean i am all for this (fashion off the runway yes for sure)
i'm just trying to figure out certain fashion things, which i know is just like a ridiculous thing to be doing

rrrobyn, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:25 (seventeen years ago)

it's not out of the question.

wait so you're asking why loud and bizarre styles look good?

Surmounter, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:26 (seventeen years ago)

its true tho that no one ever has should or will wear those styrofoam ski boot units

jhøshea, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:28 (seventeen years ago)

i'm asking where they're coming from

rrrobyn, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:28 (seventeen years ago)

wrooong. so wrong.

Surmounter, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:28 (seventeen years ago)

it is not really a question of taste, my question

rrrobyn, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:28 (seventeen years ago)

i have nothing against outlandish styles its just that tho shits are putrid and retarded

jhøshea, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:29 (seventeen years ago)

where they're coming from... i think it just boils down to preference, in terms of color and shape! that just looks pretty to some people! is it odd cuz it's different, or cuz it's extreme?

Surmounter, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:30 (seventeen years ago)

looks like a backpack fucked a coffee cup

jhøshea, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:30 (seventeen years ago)

i disagree i think it's all a question of taste

Surmounter, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:30 (seventeen years ago)

there's no accounting for it which is what i think we're trying to do. some people like big, purple and puffy

Surmounter, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:31 (seventeen years ago)

other people don't. i don't think there are too many actual reasons for just liking something.

Surmounter, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:31 (seventeen years ago)

or not reasons we can articulate.

Surmounter, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:31 (seventeen years ago)

some people like pleated khaki shorts ¯\(°_o)/¯

jhøshea, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:33 (seventeen years ago)

it's not the individual item it's how you rock it

El Tomboto, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:34 (seventeen years ago)

hence the word STYLE

El Tomboto, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:34 (seventeen years ago)

otherwise we could just talk about DESIGN

El Tomboto, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:35 (seventeen years ago)

but re: taste, i gotta say that my initial reaction to the shiny and patterned and big puffy hightops is more wtf than oooh. i'm glad they exist, i guess, like i'm glad that all art exists, but at the same time i'm like i don't really want to look at yr retarded art

rrrobyn, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:35 (seventeen years ago)

but ok like the 1st raf shoes, in sparkly blue. if i were to speculate on where that inspiration came from, i would say: 80s, sports, space, fantasy

Surmounter, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:35 (seventeen years ago)

haha right but to some people it's not retarded, just like to some people, pleated khakis are like

hot

Surmounter, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:35 (seventeen years ago)

anyway i completely disagree - there absolutely are reasons people like things and aesthetics obv convey meaning deeper than "purple"

jhøshea, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:36 (seventeen years ago)

just because something is extreme, doesn't mean it's retarded

Surmounter, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:36 (seventeen years ago)

ok, you're right, but instinctive preference is a huge part of it

Surmounter, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:36 (seventeen years ago)

if you took apart all andre 3000's closet and looked at his suit separates and shit you would probably be like WTF WHO WOULD WEAR THAT HE WOULD LOOK A FOOL but then he puts them on it's kind of HEY AWESOME CHECK OUT THAT DUDE

El Tomboto, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:36 (seventeen years ago)

but wait if that art is in the right context (e.g., on the right person) it suddenly becomes awesome, and yeah, that's the STYLE FACTOR for sure
xpost

rrrobyn, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:37 (seventeen years ago)

duh no its the item and how u rok it

and andre 3000 absolutely does look like a retard fyi

jhøshea, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:37 (seventeen years ago)

i think it becomes easy to classify something as a failure if it takes a lot of risks and you don't like it. if you don't like it and it's just kind of boring, it's not as punishable. which i actually feel the opposite, like at least try and excite me. if it flops, it flops.

Surmounter, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:38 (seventeen years ago)

u'd have a lot more credibility on this if u chose something better to defend than that busted ass boot

jhøshea, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:41 (seventeen years ago)

haha crazeeey. and just to clarify i'm way more into the blue boot than the skiboot.

Surmounter, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:42 (seventeen years ago)

the blue boot def has merits

jhøshea, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:43 (seventeen years ago)

just because something is extreme, doesn't mean it's retarded

this is a red herring in this discussion as extreme can mean many things and was not being used in any retarded=extreme way. nor is anything necessarily being called a 'failure' here, esp b/c as we all seem to be saying, it's all subjective anyway. CHALLENGING maybe is the word. also the word i use when i don't really like something but don't nec hate its existence.

i'm just wondering how someone gets all these accolades and etc for making a big giant shiny blue hightop with ruffles made of goats

rrrobyn, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:44 (seventeen years ago)

right time right place i guess

I wanted red Converse, but I think I might go for red Keds instead. I've been both attracted and repelled by the laceless Converse. One of my co-workers wears them and they look really good.

he is being ironic!

deeznuts, Saturday, 21 June 2008 19:47 (seventeen years ago)

Yeah, its a t-shirt from Katherine Hamnett, who did those "CHOOSE LIFE" slogan t-shirts from the 80s and "FRANKIE SAY RELAX". Basically all the big block letter slogan t-shirts you see eeeeverywhere these days are imitations of her stuff, via House of Holland who bought them back a couple seasons ago

phil-two, Saturday, 21 June 2008 20:03 (seventeen years ago)

I just watched What About Bob? where Billy Murray was wearing a t-shirt in that style. Oh early 90s.

burt_stanton, Saturday, 21 June 2008 20:06 (seventeen years ago)

Basically my job is traveling the world taking photos of stylish people in different cities for my website and various fashion magazines (just sold a couple photos to Dutch FHM lol...), so I'm always wondering how people react to what I think looks cool/interesting/fashionable... Since its my "business" and all. Like I don't really think those metallic blue or black high-tops are that kooky, so I was kinda surprised that you guys were like "WTF those are craaaaaaaazy".

So those Raf boots, they're more showpieces than anything. Only a few ever got produced. I personally wouldn't wear them, but I can certainly appreciate that they're fascinating.

But seriously, jhoshea, the shoes you've been posting are fucking hideous.

phil-two, Saturday, 21 June 2008 20:27 (seventeen years ago)

how are they fascinating?

deeznuts, Saturday, 21 June 2008 20:29 (seventeen years ago)

deeznuts, Saturday, 21 June 2008 20:33 (seventeen years ago)

phil-two, Saturday, 21 June 2008 20:35 (seventeen years ago)

i mean they are kind of fascinating in a wtf way and im sure in a technical one too

J0rdan S., Saturday, 21 June 2008 20:35 (seventeen years ago)

Was that taken in SoHo, NYC? The description of those shoes remind of what that obnoxious Euro Guy character on Conan O Brien wears.

burt_stanton, Saturday, 21 June 2008 20:47 (seventeen years ago)

they look impossibly uncomfortable

J0rdan S., Saturday, 21 June 2008 20:48 (seventeen years ago)

phil im asking because you commented that jhosh's sneaks were 'hideous' when 'hideous' is basically all that shoe has going for it - i mean does that alone seriously count for ballsy in yr book? 'futuro'??

deeznuts, Saturday, 21 June 2008 20:49 (seventeen years ago)

Was that taken in SoHo, NYC?
yeah i took it on mercer street outside Seven (the store). the guy in the photo is the owner

i cant believe im defending these boots because i dont really even like them all that much, and also ive pretty much given up trying to explain avant-garde fashion to people who are generally dismissive of it. you think theyre hideous, and i think those asics gel lytes and nike air max 90s are hideous. obviously we have different aesthetics, I mean thats all one can really say, right?

'futuro' in an obviously non-technical description...

phil-two, Saturday, 21 June 2008 21:07 (seventeen years ago)

thats what i dont get - justifying it as theoretical when you dont even agree with the way the theory was practiced

how does that do anyone any good?

deeznuts, Saturday, 21 June 2008 21:11 (seventeen years ago)

im not justifying their existence as like "well its avant garde and you wouldn't undnerstand, pshaw". i actually think they look pretty cool, but i've already said that i personally wear them. i mean, i agree that they look ridiculous (in a good way, to me though), but i'm into that sort of thing, and there's certainly a niche group of people who are too. "fashion people" for a lack of a better term live in a bubble anyways.

its like a piece of contemporary art, and you can't deny, whether you like them or not, that they're at least interesting. thats the reason i posted the photo to begin with, after all. otherwise may as well just go look at footlocker.com

Eh, that feels like a pretty big stretch on both counts. The cork sole aside, that shoe looks like a lot of what Y-3/Stella McCartney have done at Adidas over the last few years. The silver shoes you posted upthread were awesome, the sort of thing I would def wear but the boots look slapdash and derivative to me.

Lamp, Saturday, 21 June 2008 22:24 (seventeen years ago)

i'd love to see that. i'm not too familiar with the stella for adidas line, but i haven't seen anything like it from y-3

now i doubt even by the often vacuous standards of the contemporary art world that description would be considered fascinating. yr attempted association kinda reminds me of metalheads unnecessarily repping their favorite guitarists virtues by noting his classical training. metal is good on its own - so are clothes.

as for the high fashion sneakers. when the fashion world piggybacks on street style it usually contributes some elevated sense of subtlety and rigor. this hasnt from what ive seen been the case w/sneakers. probably cause the bars been set so high already. sneakers are the most scrutinized fetishized and critiqued garments in the world. high fashion doesnt seem to quite get what its fucking with. as for yr preference for dunks over am90s - congrats yr every saggy ass dude on the street.

none of this by the way is meant to be any sort of inditement of high fashion. if i could afford it id by wicked fancy clothes oh my. nor am i a total sneaker head - but i do love them and find their culture compelling as a heightened microcosm of our over-all degraded materialistic situation.

btw perusing yr website right now - appreciating that its not exlusivly people w/over the top sensibilities like so much street style photography. also enjoying the non fashion hub locations. you should roam further from the fashion worlds margins tho. id love to see a nonjudgmental catalog of the way people dress.

i don't see how a catalog of the way people dress could ever be nonjudgmental, but i like your thinking, jho!

tehresa, Saturday, 21 June 2008 23:02 (seventeen years ago)

well i was thinking like yr in the mekong delta and you take a picture of someone cause they epitomize a popular style of dress there not because u particularly like it. obv its still subjective but the focus has shifted.

jhøshea, Saturday, 21 June 2008 23:09 (seventeen years ago)

Phil: I can't seem to get a picture of the Honja Highs to post but they were what I was thinking of.

xpost to when the fashion world piggybacks on street style it usually contributes some elevated sense of subtlety and rigor. this hasnt from what ive seen been the case w/sneakers.

So OTM. My first thought/response to some of phil's posts was lol market determinism, in that six or seven years ago the place I bought Junya Watanabe sold Pumas. Now they sell those Raf shoes. A lot of times when high-end lines release sneakers they look and feel like nothing more than cash-ins to me, rather than an attempt to actually make a really good sneaker. That's why I like the metallic shoes you posted: they seem to play with the shape and structure of a high-top.

Lamp, Saturday, 21 June 2008 23:10 (seventeen years ago)

you should roam further from the fashion worlds margins tho.

well, its pretty hard outside certain cities, NYC, London, Tokyo, Melbourne, etc that have a lot of creative, interesting people clumped together in one area. Even places like San Francisco, I was there for like 4 days doing photos and maybe got a dozen worthwhile ones, whereas I can get that in a half hour in Tokyo. Also, do I really want to be standing on a Milwaukee street corner for 6 hours waiting for someone interesting to get out of their car?

btw, re-reading what i wrote, i sound like a fool. but i still think andre3000 is awesome...

those flag shoes are awesome!

Surmounter, Monday, 23 June 2008 03:02 (seventeen years ago)

i would definitely wear those black adidas a lot. sooo versatile.

Surmounter, Monday, 23 June 2008 03:05 (seventeen years ago)

i'm wearing them right now at work! the cream gazelles are practically unwearable tho, i'm too worried about getting them dirty.

i also bought some new chucks after my old grey pair went RIP. nothing crazy, just dark grey with the star patch in the same colour as the rest of the shoe. starting to think they're all a bit conservative compared to the stuff in this thread tho, damn.

haitch, Monday, 23 June 2008 03:06 (seventeen years ago)

i have shoes very much like the gazelles but made out of some hemplike thing but not hemp. it's a fun look but i find i can't wear them too much

they are, but i'm a big sucker for hitops

Surmounter, Thursday, 21 August 2008 02:42 (seventeen years ago)

hitops seem like the kind of shoes some people can pull off and others can't? i always feel like a clown or an 8 year old in them, but other people look rad

jergins, Thursday, 21 August 2008 02:52 (seventeen years ago)

yea i know what you mean

Abbott, Thursday, 21 August 2008 17:13 (seventeen years ago)

I wish I could find a good pair of Le Coq Sportifs.

Abbott, Thursday, 21 August 2008 17:14 (seventeen years ago)

I had some CRAZY fucking orange Pony sneakers w/the V thing on the side in Silver, weird ass square toe, white sole, velcro...that I got for $18! And they were the first thing my dog ate when I brought him home. (He has eaten, since then, two bras, and that's it. He got over it.)

Onitsuka Tigers are boss but I think the sole is made of cardboard. ow ow ow

yaay! i really want another pair of my white addidas, as all the rain this summer and consequent grimy bikeriding have kinda trashed them, esp as they have a suede part (blargh! i like texture but suede gets so freakin dirty and is hard to clean.) i wish they made them in teal. and kelly green.
