I'm interested in a pair of "statement" sunglasses, or just some really nice, striking ones. I don't want them to be large enough to cover my whole area, but not so large that I look like an alien. I don't mind spending a little more than normal if they last a long time.

I recently got rid of all of my sunglasses except one dollar store pair. I never, ever go out without sunglasses, and I was trying to train myself to keep them in one spot, otherwise with a zillion pairs they just get all over the house and then I can't find them despite owning a zillion. It worked, but now I want one fancy pair instead of one cheapo. Glasses are something I wear every day, so having an extra nice, extra interesting pair would be an easy thing to do to improve my personal style or flair or whathaveyou.

Suggestions welcome, and just post sunglasses you like, or whatever!

I love sunglasses. More specifically I love big ridiculous statement sunglasses. I will help you on your quest for cool ones even though I never spend more than ~ $20 on my own because I lose and/or break them too frequently.

I got an enormous hard case specifically made for big sunglasses from Aldo and it's sort of been a lifesaver.

i got these at h&m and i love them but they're not my favorite alltime sunglasses -- those were white betsey johnson movie star glasses or these weird ones i got at a toy store that i think were supposed to be "jackie o glasses" but were just large round and black

fortunately (or not) for me, my substantial beak will carry any glasses far enough from my face that i have never even thought about having this problem!?

Yes, I have a small nose that goes straight down so that my glasses slide down a lot which can be annoying. Sometimes I think my nose is too small for my face.

my ears (or something?) are not level, so sunglasses perch unevenly on my face! the bigger they are, the less noticeable this is.

i have a nose that seems custom-made to keep glasses on it

i got prescription sunglasses this summer and wow so great - they are unisex wayfarer-style though, so perhaps not fashiony fabs enough for this thread

yeah I have prescription sunnies too. Kind of a modest Jackie O style, tortoiseshell kinda thing, I love them.
Total cliche but they kinda changed my life. I used to lose sunglassses ALL the time - I've had these for like, 7 years or something.

I have rx sunglasses but I rarely wear them because I usually wear contacts. Haven't lost those though which is goood because $.

My nose is big and pointy like an isosceles triangle and the bone is flat on top, so glasses tend to slide down pretty easily. I really need to get my regular glasses tightened, now that I think of it

the ones i linked are made by a co. called corvus i picked them up cuz i met and liked the guy that makes them (on the same beach as that picture lol) but i think panda makes the better known ones and they seem p nice too
