The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Friday, 9 January 2004 04:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Silly Sailor (Andrew Thames), Friday, 9 January 2004 14:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Minty (Minty), Saturday, 10 January 2004 00:34 (twenty-two years ago)

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Saturday, 10 January 2004 07:08 (twenty-two years ago)

There is sand on my desk now, it's making my mouse gritty.

Minty (Minty), Saturday, 10 January 2004 12:47 (twenty-two years ago)

how the hell did i get sand in my hair???

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Saturday, 10 January 2004 22:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Those swine at C4 are stealing our ideas! Todays Top 10 is "Top 10 Handclaps". Time to break out the tinfoil hats, I think.

Minty (Minty), Monday, 12 January 2004 06:55 (twenty-two years ago)

BTW So far I've only seen the Dandy Warhols and Wham Rap, I think we could do this show about a million times better.

Minty (Minty), Monday, 12 January 2004 06:57 (twenty-two years ago)

If "Hey Ya!" isn't on it I'll unleash myself on their "asses"

Silly Sailor (Andrew Thames), Monday, 12 January 2004 14:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah they had that. Somehow "We Will Rock You" was beaten to no.1 by "My Angel is a Centerfold".

Minty (Minty), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 01:02 (twenty-two years ago)

are we having dclmc on sunday?

ducklingmonster, Friday, 16 January 2004 22:26 (twenty-two years ago)

i reckon we should - who's hosting

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Friday, 16 January 2004 23:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Could we make it a late afternoon/early evening one? Cos of I'm helping Karren move house tomorrow.

Minty (Minty), Saturday, 17 January 2004 03:59 (twenty-two years ago)

is anyone busy monday? maybe we could drive to milton and balclutha and go opshopping!

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Saturday, 17 January 2004 08:52 (twenty-two years ago)

i'm so desperate to come to NZ now. i'm going to get my kiwi mate Alice to come with me & show me all the good spots

the surface noise (electricsound), Saturday, 17 January 2004 09:52 (twenty-two years ago)

why the hell aren't tugboat touring!!!!!!!!!!!

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Saturday, 17 January 2004 10:02 (twenty-two years ago)

bek & i were talking about this just the other day... we're going to apply for a grant and do it ASAP

the surface noise (electricsound), Saturday, 17 January 2004 10:13 (twenty-two years ago)

YOU FUCKERSSSSSSSS!

Hi

gaz (gaz), Saturday, 17 January 2004 11:12 (twenty-two years ago)

hi gaz! welcome! TUGBOAT TOUR. where is your friend alice from?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Saturday, 17 January 2004 11:26 (twenty-two years ago)

anyway DCLMC - whos innarested in this opshopping roadtrip? i've realised i can't really do anything today cos i got band practise and maybe looking at a flat or two and um other prior arrangements. we could put some batteries in my tapedeck for the trip, cos you know, likelihood of milton or balclutha having radio stations is pisspoor.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 18 January 2004 00:06 (twenty-two years ago)

yes yes a roadtrip! i have new op shop tapes to play -cassingles so we wont get bored. plus mixtapes. also batteries and petrol money. just saw minty in the 'rise and he is keen as. we should hit the road earlish. choice.

ducklingmonster, Sunday, 18 January 2004 01:54 (twenty-two years ago)

petrol money ain't no thing, but if you wanna....

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 18 January 2004 04:40 (twenty-two years ago)

what cassingles did you get?
do you folks accept donated materials?
Much as I like small towns, I found Balclutha genuinely scarey; got stranded there hitching and all these people who looked like cousins (really) stared at us.

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Sunday, 18 January 2004 05:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Hey y'all, I got a sick little computer here so this might be the last I write here for a while. Gimme a ring via the electric telephone if we're on for tomorrow, ok?

Minty (Minty), Sunday, 18 January 2004 06:07 (twenty-two years ago)

its on. i pick you up at 1pm

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 18 January 2004 06:12 (twenty-two years ago)

has anyone told jenny/steve about this excursion? i'm finding her particularly difficult to track down.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 18 January 2004 22:23 (twenty-two years ago)

hey that road trip was fun! BUMFUCK, SOUTH OTAGO WOOOOOHOOOOO! so who's up for future excursions to Gore, Mosgiel (we should gone to mosgiel dudes!), Oamaru, Timaru, and whale fossil place? cos i like driving you cats around, especially when you put sabbath on.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Monday, 19 January 2004 06:38 (twenty-two years ago)

i am jealous :-(

mullygrubber (gaz), Wednesday, 21 January 2004 11:05 (twenty-two years ago)

anyone up for another road trip next week? i'm always up for a drive, but maybe you want a more stationary (sp?) meeting for a change.

honey bring back the car (lucylurex), Wednesday, 21 January 2004 20:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Sounds good to Anton. Count Anton in.

Anton, Thursday, 22 January 2004 02:11 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not referring to myself in the third person anymore. I've had my fun.

Anton (Minty), Thursday, 22 January 2004 14:56 (twenty-two years ago)

does anyone know if there are opshops in palmerston and waikouaiti? theres a "trash converters", ha.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Thursday, 22 January 2004 21:09 (twenty-two years ago)

What do you fullas say to DCLMC at mine on Thursday evening or Friday?

Minty (Minty), Sunday, 25 January 2004 11:59 (twenty-two years ago)

i say hell yes.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 25 January 2004 22:00 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah and whats the theme?

ducklingmonster, Monday, 26 January 2004 00:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Ok ok ok, say 6:30 on Thursday? The theme is "animals", extra points for tracks that actually have animal noises on them!

Minty (Minty), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 00:17 (twenty-two years ago)

&are y'all going to the Blue Oyster tonight?

Minty (Minty), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 00:17 (twenty-two years ago)

yes to animals, no to blue oysters.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 02:34 (twenty-two years ago)

i will try to find iced animal biscuits for the occasion. i feel sad that the chocolate animal bar no longer exists, that was my favourite choccy bar as a wee tyke.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 02:36 (twenty-two years ago)

what are chocolate animal bars and can we eat them?

the surface noise (electricsound), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 02:36 (twenty-two years ago)

they were a nestle chocy bar in the v early 80s. the ad was really cool and i can even remember the dialogue! it was a chocolate bar with pictures of exotic animals sort of imprinted on, you could get elephants and bears and lions and monkeys and giraffes!

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 02:50 (twenty-two years ago)

http://www.maani-group.com/images/animals.gif

the surface noise (electricsound), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 03:05 (twenty-two years ago)

are you gonna play wee willie shantz?????
hush puppy hush!
coo coo...is the love bird..............best record in the universe!!!

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Wednesday, 28 January 2004 05:14 (twenty-two years ago)

oooh good thinking elizabeth, i shall bring the mix cd along. rest assured i will be bringing along "animal" by def leppard too. anton have you made sure jenny and beth know about this meeting?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 28 January 2004 21:04 (twenty-two years ago)

im there in my eagle shirt

ducklingmonster, Wednesday, 28 January 2004 22:11 (twenty-two years ago)

if i can't find iced animals, i will bring tiny teddys okay? beth do you wanna lift?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 28 January 2004 22:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah I rang Jenny and told her last night. Di, d'y'wanna give her a ring see if she wants a lift too? I think her internet is down.

Monty, Thursday, 29 January 2004 00:47 (twenty-two years ago)

good meeting. we have lots of palace and elton john and mary timony :-)

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Thursday, 29 January 2004 07:45 (twenty-two years ago)

"I'm so hungry I could eat a bear"
"chocolate animals!!!"

(what's the rest?)

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Thursday, 29 January 2004 09:21 (twenty-two years ago)

between those two lines there's: "a bear?"
"now i'll eat a monkey!"
"hey, watcha doin'?"
"eating chocolate animals, from a nestle animal bar"...

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Thursday, 29 January 2004 09:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Wow, thanks.
You don't remember Caribou bars do you??
I've never met anyone who does. They were my favourite, all my money was measured in thirty cents as that's how much they were. The ad had a Caribou singing "cariBOU bar, cariBOU bar" then some line I can't remember ("tastiest by far"?)

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Thursday, 29 January 2004 10:01 (twenty-two years ago)

ps. did you folkx know Rainy and Futurians and I Telepaths are all mentioned in the local rumours/"scene" page of new Rip It Up.

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Thursday, 29 January 2004 10:02 (twenty-two years ago)

yay rory and pamela are spreading the good word! i'm afraid i don't remember caribou bars :-(

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Thursday, 29 January 2004 21:58 (twenty-two years ago)

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Thursday, 29 January 2004 21:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Wayne's Music on National Radio is doing the 80's this week! So if you're feeling light around 1pm be sure to tune in.

information howsyrfather, Wednesday, 11 February 2004 03:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Friday the 13th Feb = BLACK VALENTINES. Rustle up some dark love songs! Get Peter Gutteridge to play!

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Wednesday, 11 February 2004 08:22 (twenty-two years ago)

hahahaha okay. man i'm so excited about MARYROSE CROOK AND THE TERMINALS! not to mention the whole friday night thing.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 11 February 2004 09:32 (twenty-two years ago)

oh wow Black Valentines is so so so perfect for the Shutups! gig. Almost all Shutups! songs are dark love songs. Who you calling Goth Goth? Yesterday i was thinking about decorating the stage with black heart shaped ballons - before i even knew just how right that would be. Wish I'd realised about black valentines when I made the poster. At least I slipped in the "Nice Turn Nasty" phrase. Today I made cupcakes with dark pink icing and pale pink rose petals for DCLMC. I have never ever been into valentines in anyway other than 'My Bloody..' but with Maryrose and the Terminals about to break my heart once again Im feeling lurvvvvv and i do mean luv L. U. V.

Elizabethlast, Wednesday, 11 February 2004 23:38 (twenty-two years ago)

i rate duckling's cupcakes 9/10. oh GGGGGGODDDDD i can't wait for tomorrrow night.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Thursday, 12 February 2004 05:56 (twenty-two years ago)

I want to see the poster!

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Friday, 13 February 2004 12:56 (twenty-two years ago)

I will send you a poster. It has a picture of a robotic big cat.

ducklingmonster, Friday, 13 February 2004 20:10 (twenty-two years ago)

this weekend?

ducklingmonster, Friday, 20 February 2004 20:11 (twenty-two years ago)

There used to be an ad where a car turned into a panther or something right? I think I saw that on an ad break on the news and I thought it was real because it was the news. Of course I was very young,

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Saturday, 21 February 2004 00:20 (twenty-two years ago)

I got that from "robotic big cat" so it's not too off subject!

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Saturday, 21 February 2004 00:21 (twenty-two years ago)

me and anton were talking last night about how tuesday is international pancake day. maybe we should dclmc then?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Saturday, 21 February 2004 02:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Panthers are also on topic. Work on tuesday night 5-9. do you guys want to have it late maybe? What music goes with pancakes?

ducklingmonster, Sunday, 22 February 2004 02:52 (twenty-two years ago)

the pet shop boys and wham! maybe? i like the idea of a late DCLMC. we could maybe also watch a daria video.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 22 February 2004 03:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Late does it for me, I was thinking of going to the cricket in the afternoon. Anyone else up for that?

Minty (Minty), Sunday, 22 February 2004 04:01 (twenty-two years ago)

YES. YES. and YES.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 22 February 2004 04:15 (twenty-two years ago)

how much would that cost?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 22 February 2004 04:17 (twenty-two years ago)

I think it's $20. Cas and Morgan and some other people are sposed to be going aswell.

Minty (Minty), Sunday, 22 February 2004 04:49 (twenty-two years ago)

bah, can't afford it.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 22 February 2004 05:05 (twenty-two years ago)

i totally heart daria!! i wanna come :-(

J.D. (Justyn Dillingham), Sunday, 22 February 2004 06:52 (twenty-two years ago)

the daria videos will still be here if you ever come to dunedin!

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 22 February 2004 21:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Ok ok ok, just in case anyone needs it for historical reference purposes, here's the break-down of the responsibilities for the inaugrual DCLMC Pancake Day celebrations, as I have it:

Anton: Eggs, Milk, Mad Pancakery Skillz
Beth: Flour, Sugar, Lemons, Attitude
Di+Jenny: Icecream, Fruit, Miscellaneous Toppings, Tunes, Intellectual Stimulation

Minty (Minty), Monday, 23 February 2004 10:16 (twenty-two years ago)

For Lent I'm giving up listmaking.

Minty (Minty), Monday, 23 February 2004 10:23 (twenty-two years ago)

i'm too dumb for that intellectual stimulation part, sorry.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Monday, 23 February 2004 21:27 (twenty-two years ago)

ice cream >>>>>>> intellectual stimulation

J.D. (Justyn Dillingham), Tuesday, 24 February 2004 06:36 (twenty-two years ago)

actually i take that back, ice cream = intellectual stimulation

J.D. (Justyn Dillingham), Tuesday, 24 February 2004 06:37 (twenty-two years ago)

especially french vanilla

J.D. (Justyn Dillingham), Tuesday, 24 February 2004 06:37 (twenty-two years ago)

or MADAGASCAR vanilla, which is what it's supposed to be called according to one of my friends

i'm gonna go to bed now

J.D. (Justyn Dillingham), Tuesday, 24 February 2004 06:39 (twenty-two years ago)

french vanilla is really from madagascar? stop, my world is turning upside down!!!

great meeting dudes. can hardly wait for our board-games-in-oamaru session (week one, april.)

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 24 February 2004 20:36 (twenty-two years ago)

I guess the Madagascar vanilla thing is a hangover from all the anti-French stuff, right?

Minty (Minty), Wednesday, 25 February 2004 00:10 (twenty-two years ago)

What do peeps think of a pre-Space Dust DCLMC at mine on Friday? Other than that I can do Thursday afternoon/early evening.

Minty (Minty), Tuesday, 2 March 2004 02:06 (twenty-two years ago)

friday fine and dandy

ducklingmonster, Tuesday, 2 March 2004 05:20 (twenty-two years ago)

as long as i don't miss the darkness concert, its okay with me.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 2 March 2004 06:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Darkness, eh?

Minty (Minty), Tuesday, 2 March 2004 07:02 (twenty-two years ago)

more justin hawkins in a nasty catsuit than you can shake a stick at.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 2 March 2004 07:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Is this on C4 or what?

Minty (Minty), Tuesday, 2 March 2004 07:14 (twenty-two years ago)

hold on, didn't YOU tell me about this, anton?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 2 March 2004 07:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Nope

Minty (Minty), Tuesday, 2 March 2004 07:55 (twenty-two years ago)

ducklingmonster, Tuesday, 2 March 2004 22:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Minty (Minty), Wednesday, 3 March 2004 02:48 (twenty-two years ago)

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Wednesday, 3 March 2004 05:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Minty (Minty), Thursday, 4 March 2004 03:43 (twenty-two years ago)

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Thursday, 4 March 2004 23:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Minty (Minty), Friday, 5 March 2004 02:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Man I need a coffee

Minty (Minty), Friday, 5 March 2004 02:08 (twenty-two years ago)

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Friday, 5 March 2004 08:25 (twenty-two years ago)

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Saturday, 6 March 2004 10:27 (twenty-two years ago)

oh, I read your answer over on ILE: she's not like Peaches is she? my interest is VERY MUCH piqued

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Saturday, 6 March 2004 10:43 (twenty-two years ago)

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 7 March 2004 20:31 (twenty-two years ago)

ducklingmonster (ducklingmonster), Tuesday, 9 March 2004 21:27 (twenty-two years ago)

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 9 March 2004 23:00 (twenty-two years ago)

you can do it - its a free walk down two streets. i got a beggar banquet comp that is very creature of the nightish. also i demand a dramatisation of the face slap incident! in slow mo

queen of the night, Friday, 12 March 2004 21:20 (twenty-two years ago)

hi beth! i wasn't sure if DCLMC was still on and anyway i've kind of had to catch up on all the schjoolwork i didn't do yesterday. sorry i didn't make it :-(

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 14 March 2004 04:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Thats ok I was a bit tired/hungover from the fashion show. Good excuse for eating watermellon and blue vein. But dont have the creatures of the night one while im away. Did you guys tape some good prince clips?

ducklingmonster (ducklingmonster), Sunday, 14 March 2004 20:56 (twenty-two years ago)

oh yes. i got to see "raspberry beret", "mountains" and "u got the look" before i went to bed. also that first one they played where he's wearing the flasher coat with undies and thigh high stockings. yikes it hurt my eyes.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 14 March 2004 21:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Hey they're sposed to be showing all the Guns'n'Roses vids on Flashbacks tomorrow night!

Minty (Minty), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 10:29 (twenty-two years ago)

I taped that flasher coat, suspenders and undies combo di, so you better get used to Prince's beautiful lithe body fast.

I would like to video some guns n roses but ever since they got that gizmo that allows him to pause mid clip and circle obvious stuff I can't handle watching, Imagine how awful it would be to get through half a fine fine video and have him interrupting.

Evil Bastard

Menelaus Darcy (Menelaus Darcy), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 12:26 (twenty-two years ago)

i want gnr! its only right that i get to tape gnr! i am slash fiction, after all.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 20:54 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm pretty sure he only does that pausing-and-drawing thing to videos he's played 3 or 4 times before. Anyway he wouldn't DARE do it to G'n'R, he'd be lynched!

Minty (Minty), Wednesday, 17 March 2004 02:18 (twenty-two years ago)
