We are looking for participants for an upcoming research study aimed at understanding drinking caffeinated alcohol products. We will be in the NYC area from February 8th-16th, conducting interviews. Interviews generally last 3 or 4 hrs, are videotaped, and pay $160.

We are looking for people who drink SPARKS and other alcoholic energy drinks. We are looking for men and women 21-30 of all ethnicities, but mostly we're looking for people interested in sharing their experiences with SPARKS—we want to know your behaviors, feelings, and emotions toward the drink and how these drinks fit into their lives. If you want to make a 'Sparks homebrew' here is one that will have the desired effects:

You will need:

5 Gallon tapped cooler
2L (70 flu oz) bottles of, mountain dew, 2*orange fanta and coke
1L (35 Flu Oz) apple juice
1L everclear grain alcohol
2L Vodka
1L Dark Rum
1L sambuka
1 packet of caffeine pills 18no# min (crushed and dissolved in warm water.)
Top of with ice

WARNING: The mix is approx 20% alcohol but will drink like the sweetest juice. It will send you insane and give you alcohol poisoning if you drink too much

Makes approx 4 gallons

There's a version of the Four stuff (dunno if it's "Loko" or some other sub-Four) that has wormwood in it, in addition to the 12% alcohol, taurine, caffeine, etc. Like absinthe style. Haven't had the guts to try it...

HOLY SHIT at that homemade sparks. That sounds awesome, except that in order to make something that makes that much liquid, you'd need a huge party, but I'd be worried that if you supplied that to a large group of people, someone would go to the hospital
