"I'm like the Heidi Fleiss of dwarfdom," Black explained to the Daily News yesterday.

Black wouldn't say who hired him and said he only found out last week that he was entertaining one of the poster boys for corporate piggery. Kozlowski was awaiting trial at the time for using Tyco money for lavish personal expenses.

"Dennis was the guy with the $7,000 shower curtain, and now I'm like the 29-cent dwarf," said Black, whose rates really start at $150 an hour.

David's painting of the death of Marat deliberately mimics the classical posture of the Pieta. Those scrabby faced junkies, on the other hand, seem to have arrived at that posture by magical coincidence.

Also - semi-famous South American film director wandering about SFMOMA lobby.

Adam Rice Lacucaracha (nordicskilla), Thursday, 2 March 2006 21:54 (nineteen years ago)

I hate to subvert the notion behind the thread title, but I'm always disappointed by the homogenous hordes that attend my gym. Why do interesting people snub the Y?

The only exception is the albino microhouse fan. I saw him at Superpitcher and Monolake and in the Electronic section at Amoeba, then he suddenly appeared in my yoga class! I've been to shy to say hello. He's lost a few pounds though. Good for him.

Adam Rice Lacucaracha (nordicskilla), Thursday, 2 March 2006 21:57 (nineteen years ago)

there are no interesting people at my gym, either. but, my gym is for upper middle class white people who think that they have to show up at the gym in full makeup and hair and always matching clothes, socks, and shoes. they also like to talk on cell phones while on the cardio machines, which makes them a) slow down and not get any exercise done, and b) ignore the 30 minute time limit. rude rich white bastards!

tehresa (tehresa), Thursday, 2 March 2006 22:00 (nineteen years ago)

oh god I hate those people. I stopped going to the gym almost purely because I couldn't stand to see any more bitches in full UWS hair and makeup pretending to lift weights while staring at themselves in the mirror. Keep in mind that by cancelling my gym membership at this club I also cancelled my "Watch George Clooney play basketball, usually shirtless, live in person" membership, that is how much I hate those fucking people. Gah.

Allyzay Rofflesberger (allyzay), Thursday, 2 March 2006 22:07 (nineteen years ago)

Allyzay Rofflesberger (allyzay), Thursday, 2 March 2006 22:17 (nineteen years ago)

I know this is a strange posting, but I've had them for a while and want to play and have fun. My friends are all married or in other states so that leaves me solo.

Looking for a creative, intelligent, fun, cute/good looking/stylish straight guy who wants to get silly this weekend. Please send a picture...chemistry is important for these types of experiments.

If you are not doing anything for the Holiday weekend and want to see some crazy things, I want to meet you. oh, also, you must like dogs, because I have one.

american apparel-C/d?

I just find it hard to respect clothing companies that don't make any attempt to make clothes for people of varying body sizes. I most certainly get the impression that the main reason they don't is because they don't want to be associated with the fatties.*

* When you read that sentence, please pronounce the word "fatties" the same way that Henry Winkler does on Arrested Development.
