i got over the beer thing. i had a couple of really bad experiences with beer when i was 13 or 14 and it stayed with me for a while. so all thru high school i made due with wine and whiskey. and vodka. and gin. and pot. and hash. and coke. and acid. and mushrooms. and mescaline. and painkillers. and valium. and xanax. the year before for my school picture i was on ecstacy. it was still legal!

i actually graduated with the class of 87. but i think that picture up top was taken in 86. i didn't graduate with my class. i BARELY graduated in 5 years. i almost had to go to summer school, that would have made it 5 & a half years! i was kinda busy with, um, extracurricular activities. my parents even sent me to bad boys school in rhode island to help me out. same school my brother went to. (when people there at that school talked about my brother they would look down at the ground and shake their heads and look sad. my fave story was from one of the teachers who ran the dorm my brother lived in. he said a year after my brother left there were lovely blooming pot plants outside his dorm window. cuz he would throw the seeds out the window.) anyway, i could have gone back to rhode island and finished in a year, but i chose to go to my public high school for TWO more years, cuz rhode island was too traumatizing for me. if i had to do it over, i would have just gotten my ged like my friend liz and gotten the hell out of there. the class of 87 was cool though! big partiers. lotsa drugs and drink. my class - the kids i grew up going to school with - were big nerds and braniacs. they were already adults pretty much.

yes, we do! they are printed on tanned seal skin and entirely in french!

(the sad thing is that my yearbooks are all at my bro's place in vancouver and i really want to look at them right now (i haven't looked at them in years and years.) but they are nowhere near as cool as scott's.)

the validictorian of my high school class was gay but i didn't realize it until my sophomore or junior year. i knew there was something different about him, just the way he carried himself, but if figured it was because he was so fucking smart or something. the musical theatre and chorus maybe should have been hints but when he started the poetry magazine i think that was when everyone said "oooooooh. yeah, kinda obvious in retrospect."

i wonder whatever happened to that dude.

jordan, i have NO idea who lives in brookfield anymore. my parents sold the house and moved to upstate new york some years back, so i have no real reason to go there. it's a mystery. i am sorta tempted by that classmates.com thing. just to see pictures. i went there once and did something that enables me to receive spam and nothing else. i don't really feel like paying for it though...
