i am one of those people! "prestel" is good, but not nearly as good as most anything on the HCD, and i dont really remember anything else on discs 2 or 3.

astral glamour has many hidden treasures but also a lot of wandery half-finished stuff, I'm grateful it's out but I grew up with a tape of the ReR LP so I get sentimental for the original track order, you can't argue with it

just checking...had an argument on some other thread with someone who felt the ReR CD was all that was needed. I've always been a fan of a lot of the half-finished stuff as well...the George Harassment was number 1 on my wantlist for years, but Prestel is perhaps one of their most produced, complete tracks. Disc 1 of AG also has Total Drop which previously I'd only had on the ReR 7" sampler that came out just after the 2xLP sampler.

also, that fahey christmas guitar is much much less fun to listen to extraseasonally than the "new possibility" one.

after that i have to write, like, 15 metal reviews. so that is where my hed will be later.

that makes me sound more crazy than i really am. i am only writing three of the blurbs for the top 20 list.

and my top 50 list is all lesser-known hipster crud and dollar bin action. otherwise known as my reason to live.

and jesus my top 50 list came out to 2000 friggin' words. we'll have to see how much they cut of that. they better not cut any of it or i'm suing.

it's a shame that "MC Osso" google search returns 95% sites trying to sell me an album by National Boulevard, with a song "Blues For MC Osso." He died in 98 I guess. It's a really good record. Really stark and nicely recorded, everything is crisp but kind of cold.

song cycle is a record i kind of felt obligated to buy, since you don't see it around too much and it's a nice copy. i like the instrumentals more than the vocal tracks maybe.... i would like to hear the mono mix.
