Bell Labs, 24, was found guilty in Superior Court of first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the October 2005 murder of Billy Dewayne Carlton Jr. in Golden Valley.

Labs was also convicted of felony drive-by shooting and discharging a weapon at a residence in the July 15, 2005 shooting involving Carlton's brother, also in Golden Valley. Judge James Chaves will sentence her July 9.

if you go to the ballfields, you must get a spicy pork huarache. i like the arepas well enough, but to me the best part is the pickled cabbage stuff you get with them. there's so much amazing stuff to eat there that i think is more interesting.

i cannot emphasize the huarache thing enough. there are two stands that do them, both right as you walk in from the clinton/bay intersection. one will be immediately on your left, by the elotes (also superb), and the other will be on your left next to the fruit/agua fresca people. i think the latter is maybe a little better, but they're both amazing.
