the thread was basically a lot of chaki and to a much lesser extent me trying to get luna to explain why she's played some male ilxors for suckers in real life, leading them on romantically, setting up in person meetings only to never show up, etc. i related a story i heard from a couple different sources, some reputable ilxors stepped in with "yep that's pretty much her game", luna fled ilx and deleted her myspace and live journal, misery got super pissed and also left ilx. the former probably won't come back, the latter probably will. jrb is right, it was sort of anticlimactic except for a ton of particularly otm" nabisco posts.

same here, and I can still count on one hand the number of ILX people I've met IRL. mostly that's down to me being anti-social/sticking to certain ILM threads and being more of a dick than I am in real life, but really i'm just glad I haven't been single for 90% of the time I've been here and haven't had any desire to look for meaningful relationships or BFF friendships on this or any other message board. lots of people here seem like they'd be cool IRL but now and then some pretty crazy shit surfaces (usually ethan's the person who has to explain all the complicated behind the scenes shit to me).
