I have noticed the year-round clementine bullshit. We started buying them in the middle of summer and the were cheap and plentiful and fucking good. After a month though, Safeway was trying to pass off these bruised, bitter fruits for like $9 a box. Someone made a stupid deal somewhere along the line.Anyway, I checked the clementines yesterday. The fruits looked better, but there were only a few of them rattling around in the box, once again for $9.
