maybe? i had mine for a while w/out using it really, my old computer was ancient, no dvd burner, etc and so for like the first year all i'd downloaded was skidoo and that was like five months after i got the membership. if your ratio's good and you have downloaded stuff you're probably fine is my guess. only way to find out is find out i guess.

another good strategy is to hop on torrents that are likely to be popular. sometimes that's hard to tell, but I jumped on the p4ranoid p4rk one when there were only 3 leechers and I got a 2 point something share ratio out of that one when it was all said and done.

also, try sorting the browse list descending by # of leechers and look for ones that have 1 seeder.
