I've never made a bracket. I doubt I ever will. I just can't get in the proper spirit. The certainty that whatever wild-assed guesses I committed to paper would all be smashed to matchsticks in the first round just deflates my desire to even try to get it right.

i just made one right now on impulse, picked mostly 1-4 seeds because of STATISTICS. i think the highest seed in the elite 8 i picked was ucla and that was on reputation cos i have not followed college basketball ever

I'm not a Terps fan at all, but "horrible" just isn't accurate. A horrible teams doesn't win games against UNC, Wake, Michigan State, Michigan, Miami, and now Cal. Sure, they're inconsistent, but not horrible. Also, SoS is top 25. RPI is 55. That's just okay. But still. Not a horrible team, just a flawed one that can be a serious threat at times.

vasquez seems like a really fun player. he was definitely getting ahead of himself all over the place but looked creative with a good scoring touch and excellent size. could be an interesting bench guy in the nba.

Miami wasn't at all bad this year. Of course, they weren't great either. But 19-12 in the ACC is okay (they beat BC twice). My whole point is just questioning the word "horrible." I don't think any team that makes the tourney (second-round bound Maryland) or misses it by a few wins (Miami -- who just beat Providence in the NIT) can be called horrible.

I just looked up Dayton's schedule. They had some good wins this year.

i picked mine pretty much randomly

caught the second half of the pitt/etsu game on an arc trainer at the gym--ended up working out like 15 minutes longer than usual cause i had to see it.

what was REALLY impressive is that the bucs weren't some gimmick low seed playing slowdown and bombing threes. what a tough, heroic performance and they almost won playing major-conference style ball. it was really sealed for me when i realized that pitt didn't look sluggish or careless, etsu just looked like an equally talented or even MORE talented team.

yeah you really wish etsu couldve made free throws. it was great that they were actually PRESSING pitt which is so wild to think abt a 16 pressing a 1 and it working
