The only thing that (still) sucks about Yahoo is no live scoring w/o a subscription, but I'll probably pay the $10 for it anyway and post scores here on Sunday nights.

Return yards at least help out when you got the shaft on RBs, or during a bye. Last year at 1pt per 10yds, though, they were screwing with regularity (elite WRs were getting blown out by kick returners and shit). Everything's gonna be all square this year, because by week 3 or 4 last year, I wasn't even having fun anymore with that retarded roster arrangement and bizarro return yardage points. ILNFL 2008 NEVER HAPPENED! ;)

I loved the first year playing IDP, and finishing a week with a linebacker getting 30 points, but whatevs you guys.

OK, I just received word that my other league is instituting this RE-FUCKING-TARDED rule where the draft order doesn't get reversed in the even-numbered rounds, so if you draft #12 you still don't get to pick a second player until pick #24. They say it's a standard rule and tons of leagues do it. I say the rule gives a ridiculously unfair advantage to the top-seeded players. Is the ILNFL fantasy draft order like this? Please say it's not so!!

yeah i mean welker is a low first tier/high 2nd tier guy and vjax and gonzo are definitely solid 2nd-tier guys.

PPR bumps up Welker a bit in my eyes. Plus I think he's gonna get about eight to nine touchdowns this year minimum.
And pretty much the same for Gonzo.

But yeah, WR is definitely my weak point. I'm also putting a lot of hope in Ryan this year; he's my ILX QB too.

yeah i've never seen that configuration. i think ryan should be a fine fantasy qb--average or better for sure. he gets a lot of help from the running game and is going to have excellent receivers.

most of the starting receivers from the giants are still on the board and I'll be watching all their games; that's likely gonna be my go-to later on. Fuck an Earnest Graham; I had Ahmad Bradshaw pulled on the pick before.

u also gotta remember cadillac is apparently ready to go and looking awesome so there's a good chance all tb rb's are useless for fantasy.

The Bucs' secret weapon this year is a dude they picked up in the 7th round named Sammie Stroughter. He's listed as the 5th receiver right now, but will be doing punt and kick returns and he is SOLID (both running and receiving). I suspect he'll move up the depth chart by midseason at the latest.

I nabbed him in the ILX league as a wait-and-see, but I'm just throwing him out there for you guys in other leagues to keep an eye on.

I'm gonna need some advice for this week. My bench had a bunch of huge point earners that I didn't expect (Cadillac, Devin Hester and Tim Hightower). Maybe I can trade some for an A-list before they come down from their clouds.

The two guys I picked before Brees went in round #2 scored a total of 16.80 fantasy points today. Brees scored 52.50 or something ridiculous like that.

I'd hang on to Cadillac until the Bucs have a quarterback who's worth a shit. Their game is all ground until that happens. xp

i would just like to thank the owner of the insurgents for carrying two kickers on your roster while starting one IDP player who was on a bye and also for leaving rashard mendenhall on your bench vs. detroit, instead going with laveranues coles vs. baltimore. decisions like these are what helped me win my fourth matchup in week 5 despite my 3 WRs – calvin johnson, desean jackson & ocho cinco, who put up less than 8 points combined – nearly blowing it for me. thanks, lubbarlubab!

Like many people I meet, it's Matt's first-year playing fantasy. But he showed the objectivity of a wily veteran when, in Week 5, he decided to bench himself for the ol' gunslinger. It made sense. Favre was coming off a red-hot dismantling of Green Bay on "Monday Night Football," had seven scores in his past three games and was facing the Rams, among the worst pass defenses in the league.

I'll save you the trouble of looking it up. Brett threw for 232 yards, only one score (plus a pick) and finished with 11 fantasy points in ESPN standard scoring. Sixteen different quarterbacks finished with more points than Brett that week, including such names as Josh Johnson, Chad Henne and Daunte Culpepper (against the Steelers!).

And sitting on Matt Hasselbeck's bench was, well, Matt Hasselbeck, who threw for four scores against the Jaguars and finished with 27 fantasy points. More than Tom Brady, Peyton Manning or any other quarterback that week.

so today i made a trade: i traded favre for hines ward & darren sproles. we start two qbs & my other two are brady & cutler. i figure that i'm selling high on favre and that if the vikings clinch a p spot they might go easy on the throwing & what not round fantasy playoff time. my wide receivers were boldin, steve smith, mike wallace & manningham, so i felt like i needed an upgrade there (we start 3) (my running backs - we start two, but i use one for w/r - are ronnie brown, stephen jackson & ray rice, so i'm good there). anyway, good trade? bad trade?

well you're in good shape as long as cutler doesn't have too many more terrible games. sproles is pure depth--hard to predict week to week and you're in good shape there. you def needed a receiver upgrade--as a boldin and manningham owner in a 2-wr league i would not mind having hines at all.

yeah i have fitz + manningham/austin collie in a 2-wr in my other league and i'm desperately trying to wheel something (offered jonathan stewart for sidney rice but i gotta badger the dude to check his team so he can accept/deny trade)

the first time i participated in fantasy football i drafted a lot of question mark kinda guys based on past performance alone (all of those guys had big question marks before the season imo, for various reasons.) once you've gone through a season of it, though, you start to recognize guys to hunt for and you can avoid past mistakes. though we all make them, a lot of it has to do with luck. i was lucky enough to pick brady as my QB in the third round in the year when he tossed 50 TDs and unlucky enough to draft him in the first round last year.

my QB's (collins, palmer and cutler) are brutal plus I only have one real RB (Pierre Thomas). i have a top notch receiving corps which has kept me in ball games - I should've traded at least of them this year for some help

I took a flyer on Adrian Peterson his rookie year (my second time playing, got him 3rd or 4th round), and that was pretty much what locked me into a league championship title.

i picked up priest holmes in round 12 or something the first year he went off for the chiefs. i rode him to the title.

one thing that i really learned was that dudes like westbrook and boldin that are constantly "questionable" on the injury report make it damn near impossible to manage your team...i'm staying clear of dudes like that next year, it's such a headache.

one nice surprise for me this year has been:

my major headache has been Owen Daniels getting aced, Slaton starting slow and Matt Ryan being a bummer.

I'm glad I'm already in the playoffs, because my dudes were all asleep today (the dudes I have left, anyway).

Now I understand why people hoard good players throughout the season even if they never use them. Now I'm stuck with a revolving door on two slots of guys who usually perform well the week before I pick them up off waivers.
