what should be the odds on the following:

tim tebow leads all rookies in rushing touchdowns
tim tebow leads all denver broncos in rushing touchdowns

for the first one, his main competition is ryan matthews, but i wouldn't be surprised if his TDs are cut by gates/vincent jackson etc (assuming he comes back) -- i'd peg him for... 10/11 TDs -- i could see tebow getting him by one or two

for the second one, who is his competition? moreno is hurt, buckhalter is hurt, brandon marshall no longer exists... doesn't tebow have to be the favorite to lead them in rushing...? jj arrington?

my prediction is yes, if he's not already hurt

i mean, he is big and can run, but no qb is built to run that much unless they have real real wheels

i mean... tebow's problem running in the NFL will have very little to do with size, and much more to do with speed -- tebow is listed at 6-3, 245 -- that's bigger than every running back in the nfl, even steven jackson

that's not to say that he shouldn't avoid contact, but i don't think his chances of getting hurt are much greater than any running backs'

so yes, he probably will get hurt, but it's the nfl

Aren't they worried about psyching their starters out by putting them against the other team's backups? Like if you make a good play, you're only playing against backups. And if you make a bad play, that seems like really scary news about your team.

I think the whole LeBron thing tied with Cowhert dissing Joey Votto this summer finally broke me on ESPN. I haven't watch a bit since before the baseball allstar break.

Don't miss it either, as I don't have to listen to anything about the Dallas Cowboys, Brett Favre, Yanks/Sox, TO and whatever NBA BS they are talking about.

With the NFL and MLB networks around, you don't really even need ESPN anymore and at least they will talk about the other teams SOME. Criminy seems to me the MLB network all they talk about is the Twins.

NBA network is great too, as is the NHL network!

I love the preseason. It's exciting to see the fresh young talent fighting their hearts out for a spot on the roster. Watching what up and coming guys can challenge last year's starters. I'm sad about this seemingly inevitable move to an 18 game season. Nobody's gonna have any healthy starters by the time they get to the playoffs.

it's debatable whether someone like him ever really cared about football tbh -- everything came easy to him in high school & college and when he faced adversity in the pros he didn't try hard to improve and then he just pouted

leinart's life at USC didn't prepare him for the nfl. kinda the problem when you're a decent QB stuck in a system that is tailored to you perfectly at the college level and then you go to the NFL where you're just another mediocre former college star and you yourself start to realize that fact.

yeah and also when you're playing with a team that is just exponentially more talented than any other team you play

I think getting rid of Leinart was smart, but I also think this might be the best thing that ever happened to him.

Amazing that they couldn't even get a 7th rounder for him though.

afc east is super open this year. imo pats and jets are gonna struggle and it is kind of up to miami whether they have the stones to win the division. bills have a lot of ground to make up, but that would be so hilariously awesome that i am rooting for that over anything less than the pats in the super bowl.

i'm thinking this is going to be a 2-14 season for the bills tbh but it would be hilariously awesome if it weren't. i can see miami winning the division easy.

and if the bills can't win the division, i'd rather have it be miami than the pats or the jets.
