Hey Jack, it's a fact:
Green Bay at Atlanta

This whole house used to be rockin':
Chicago at Detroit

Sitthing at home, wanking it:
Cleveland, Dallas, St. Louis, Miami, Washington, Baltimore

Lots of potentially interesting games as the Steelers and Eagles need wins this week vs. two of 2011's "better than expected" teams (Titans and Bills). Bears suddenly a must-win vs. the apparently unbeatable Lions. Packers going to try to embarrass the Falcons in their own stadium again. Vikings try to prove they aren't the worst team in the league by attempting to ride Donny McNabb to a victory in the Metrodome. And best of all, a Jets/Patriots game that Rex will either squeak by or lose by 40 to remain at 1 win on the season that wasn't gifted by Tony Romo. ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!?

frogbs, Tuesday, 4 October 2011 14:25 (thirteen years ago)

12-4 last week, 61-19 for the season

Lots of too-close-to-call games this week. I hope I make it out of Survival football alive, though pinning my hopes on the Chargers in the past has proven fatal. May switch to the Gints, but that's also risky. Anyway...

TITANS by a nose
GINTS because #lolseattle
BENGALS
SAINTZ
RAIDERS
BILLS
COLTS (!)
CARDS
49ERS
PATS
SUPERCHARGERS

I was in fucking Vegas last week and forgot to bet on my Yahoo picks.

I went 13-3.

Stupid fucking me.

Can you make picks in Vegas on W/L rather than lines?

polyphonic, Tuesday, 4 October 2011 20:55 (thirteen years ago)

you can bet the moneylines but those are pretty brutal if you're just picking favorites

the dolphins are about to start matt moore for the rest of the season

yung huma (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 5 October 2011 17:38 (thirteen years ago)

I also remember reading that Garrard wants a lot of money.

polyphonic, Wednesday, 5 October 2011 17:41 (thirteen years ago)

well apparently he turned down whatever the dolphins offered him (may not have been much tbf). i get the sense he might be done with football unless he gets something really attractive?

Being held captive by the Bengals.

Roberto Spiralli, Wednesday, 5 October 2011 19:02 (thirteen years ago)

i understand why the bengals are being stubborn on this issue, and now that andy dalton looks at least passable palmer has no leverage to return, even if he wants to -- but there's also barely any trade market right now for him bcuz teams like the dolphins and the colts aren't going to give up a good pick + pay palmer's salary when they're already 0-4

yung huma (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 5 October 2011 19:16 (thirteen years ago)

palmer has been truly dire for at least a couple seasons now.

Roberto Spiralli, Wednesday, 5 October 2011 20:16 (thirteen years ago)

The situation doesn't look good now, but I'm sure there were plenty of teams willing to pay his salary at the beginning of the year. I really don't understand the Bengals on this one - it looks like they're paying him but not releasing him out of spite, which means they don't care about winning...?

i'm amused that Hank and his followers have been whining about his 1st Amendment rights being violated.

Last I checked, the Constitution doesn't grant sons of much better country singers unalienable rights to have their songs played on ESPN regardless of their personal conduct.

i like the raiders! i was afraid jason campbell's reward for having put up with 4 or 5 seasons' worth of redskins crazy was to play for an even more dysfunctional organization that went 3-13 every year, so i'm glad they look pretty solid this year. also, best uniforms in the league no question

ha i can't imagine he's gonna do it every week. if they get some relevant to that week's teams legend every week to do some sorta monologue. amazing we managed to dodge that black eyed peas bullet.

browns vs. the bye week

the game last sunday was pathetic. dinkin' and dunkin' down the field til the browns hit the titans 35 and then it all goes wrong and it's 3rd and 9. there is no room for error in this kind of offense and not using hillis was just insane. with hillis it's all contract related and now there's the predictable trade rumors. but w/e this is rebuilding.

center alex mack had his appendix out on monday. superb joe 'jane fondas ex-husband tom' haden has a sprained knee. who knows when they'll be back. this team has started from square one every four weeks since 1999.

i really like rookie greg little at WR. cribbs, when he isn't hurt, is still good. d-line is young but improving.

i dunno tho, i'm so tired of rebuilding.

this morning when i started the arizone DEF in my fantasy team i was convinced it was a good idea, but now i can't remember a single reason why that might have been.

C-L, Sunday, 9 October 2011 18:36 (thirteen years ago)

there's literally nothing worse than dan dierdorf creaming himself over "ben" not fumbling after getting sacked bcuz he held the ball for 10 seconds

yung huma (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 9 October 2011 18:46 (thirteen years ago)

not even sure that's hyperbole tbh

horseshoe, Sunday, 9 October 2011 18:47 (thirteen years ago)
