Washington

Eric H., Wednesday, 7 March 2012 17:57 (thirteen years ago)

yeah

iatee, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 17:58 (thirteen years ago)

I honestly don't think he would want to play in Eli's division.

Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 17:58 (thirteen years ago)

I'm assuming he's going to try to stay AFC so they can continue to dream of a Manning/Manning Superbowl

Vaseline MEN AMAZING JOURNEY (DJP), Wednesday, 7 March 2012 18:00 (thirteen years ago)

I'm driven by both desire and logic to say he goes to the Dolphins (along with Reggie Wayne), as it seems like the best fit for all parties.

Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 18:04 (thirteen years ago)

I hope he goes to Denver or the Jets just for the roffles.

polyphonic, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 18:06 (thirteen years ago)

i voted washington too

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 7 March 2012 18:50 (thirteen years ago)

my only reservation there is that maybe snyder feels burned after the mcnabb debacle and decides to put all his eggs in the RG3 basket instead

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 7 March 2012 18:51 (thirteen years ago)

Fins and Skins are in the best financial position to grab him, but I've heard that Houston is where he most wants to go. I'm voting Other but I have no idea where that would be

these pretzels are makeing me horney (Hungry4Ass), Wednesday, 7 March 2012 19:03 (thirteen years ago)

houston would be... dope? what's schaub's situation like?

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 7 March 2012 19:04 (thirteen years ago)

iirc schaub has a year left on his deal + an option? that could be totally wrong

sf

lag∞n, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 19:11 (thirteen years ago)

I'd love to see either SF or Houston, but I don't think either is a realistic landing spot during this offseason.

Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 19:17 (thirteen years ago)

Houston or Tennessee, though the 49ers not giving it a shot would be a horrendous mistake. This would put them over the top.

You're a notch, I'm a legend (Bill Magill), Wednesday, 7 March 2012 19:28 (thirteen years ago)

Same thing with Houston, I guess. They'd have to be SB favorites.

You're a notch, I'm a legend (Bill Magill), Wednesday, 7 March 2012 19:29 (thirteen years ago)

would peyton going to the 49ers or houston make people hate him like lebron?

iatee, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 19:31 (thirteen years ago)

He was released by his own team. He didn't just "take his talents" elsewhere.

pplains, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 19:32 (thirteen years ago)

yeah and he prob won't have a tv special either, but if he goes to the 49ers and runs the table there's something 'too easy' about it right? I mean this is assuming he can even throw a football etc.

iatee, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 19:35 (thirteen years ago)

From profootballtalk:

Although there appears to be nothing imminent between the 49ers and soon-to-be free agent quarterback Alex Smith, the 49ers’ front office says that bringing back Smith is the focus of the franchise — and that signing Peyton Manning hasn’t even been discussed.

“We haven’t had Peyton in here nor are we even talking about those things internally right now,” 49ers G.M. Trent Baalke said on KNBR, via the Sacramento Bee. “Is he going to play? I don’t know. That’s for the doctors to make the decision on and for him himself.”

This clearly means the 49ers are considering making a move, yes?

COWBOYS

mookieproof, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 19:40 (thirteen years ago)

nah because football's even more of a team sport, the individual's responsibility is smaller vs. in basketball even for a qb, plus its not like san francisco is like historically loaded - they're a nice team with some good defensive talent but peyton's colts have fielded more effective defenses than they did last year, theyre not the 85 bears

these pretzels are makeing me horney (Hungry4Ass), Wednesday, 7 March 2012 19:41 (thirteen years ago)

I think the real issue in SF (as it's been for years) is salary cap. They were in the red for several seasons, and can just now breathe a little.

Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 19:43 (thirteen years ago)

you'd so but comparing the colts pre and post peyton...
xp

iatee, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 19:44 (thirteen years ago)

you'd think so*

iatee, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 19:44 (thirteen years ago)

well the colts were built to run with peyton behind the wheel, it's a specially built team in a way that you dont usually see in the nfl. im not saying hes a not an important piece who improves any team he's on, just that the dynamics of the sport are such that a lebron comparison would be surfacey/glib/unearned

these pretzels are makeing me horney (Hungry4Ass), Wednesday, 7 March 2012 19:49 (thirteen years ago)

which wont stop hack sportswriters from making it but who cares

these pretzels are makeing me horney (Hungry4Ass), Wednesday, 7 March 2012 19:50 (thirteen years ago)

but peyton's colts have fielded more effective defenses than they did last year

I'll take last year's 49ers defense over any of the Colts squads, but yeah, they aren't the 85 Bears.

^they were pretty damn good. you dont need to be the 85 Bears to win it all. you just need to be able to cover for a horrendous qb, which is what the Niners were able to do, and it almost got them to the promised land.

Waxahachie Swap (Jimmy The Mod Awaits The Return Of His Beloved), Wednesday, 7 March 2012 21:36 (thirteen years ago)

Once again, that puts Peyty in the NFC East and I don't think that's gonna happen.

Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 21:51 (thirteen years ago)

oh, i don't think it will happen, i just think it would be great

mookieproof, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 22:10 (thirteen years ago)

the 05 and 07 colts had higher defensive DVOAs than the 11 niners. of course they're very different defenses built for different purposes - the niners have a monster defensive front (probably the best in the league?) and a great run D, but when those colts defenses were playing with a lead they could pretty much tear anyone open

these pretzels are makeing me horney (Hungry4Ass), Wednesday, 7 March 2012 22:35 (thirteen years ago)

Does DVOA take into account the offense? The fact that the Colts offense was so dynamic meant that they were playing with a huge lead a lot, when that isn't the case for teams that have much stronger defenses than their offenses.

polyphonic, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 22:38 (thirteen years ago)

no, and yeah sure - that defense was built to complement a high powered offense. no argument there.

peyton to the brownies

mookieproof, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 23:06 (thirteen years ago)

Redskins- Snyder likes to pay the old vets, but I can't see Shanahan giving the keys over to Peyton. Also from Peyton's point of view, he might recall that Shanahan pretty much threw McNabb under the bus just a year ago then got at the wheel and backed up.

Seahawks- I think this seems possible in just the fact the owner has a gazillion dollars. Even with the Niners, I'd say the NFC west is generally not a strong division. Pete Carroll always seems like a flake to me, but he might just be Ok with turning over the keys to a guy like Manning.

Jets- I can't see Manning wanting to go anywhere near that grease fire.

Dolphins- It seems to make sense for the history and locale, but the current ownership and management is not the same guys that ran the club under Robbie and they seem kind of dense. Miami has some talent, so it seems they might be able to make the next step if Manning is ready to go. NFL would love to have those 2 games each with the Pats and Jets, that is for sure. I'd think with their team's make up and where they are at now, it probably would make sense to go after Matt Flynn as they are a somewhat young club.

Chiefs- Is this even being discussed? KC might not have been as bad as it got last year, but they don't seem to be ready for primetime and I think that Manning wants to play to win now.

(Texans)- This is a new one. I see Manning would like it as they are a club built to win it all with a killer RB and WR (if healthy), a solid defense and a head coach that has been credited as being pretty progressive offensive mind. Peyty would also get a shot to completely decimate the Colts a couple of times a year for a few season extracting revenge in blood. Schaub has been good when healthy, bad thing is that he can't stay healthy. Houston has Mario Williams out there to deal with as a free agent. So they go after Peyty even if they cut Schaub they probably can't bring back Williams. I say possible, but I don't know much about the Texans' situation to say for sure.

(Niners)- I think it would take some brass balls and a cold disposition to toss out Smith after him and the clubs huge turnaround including one of the more epic playoff wins in franchise history (upsetting the Saints), even with the bleh game and loss in the NFC championship. You know Harbaugh got tossed to the curb when the Colts drafted Peyton. Who knows how that fits into the whole logic of things. It would be a weird turn of events for Ex-Colt Qb/Stanford Head Coach Harbaugh to coach Ex-Colt Manning who was replaced by ex-Stanford Qb Andrew Luck. It's a small world after all.

earlnash, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 23:37 (thirteen years ago)

I kind of feel for Andrew Luck going into Indy. I hope the Colts picked their GM and head coach well along with having some good offensive coaches - being the #1 in the draft AND both replacing a legendary player at QB starting as a rookie could be a recipe for disaster even if the guy has huge talent.

The Colts o-line has gotten old too, the guys that were good are all gone (or maybe going with Saturday).

earlnash, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 23:42 (thirteen years ago)

read today that the Fins have had 18 starting QBs in the 13 years sine Marino retired.

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 8 March 2012 00:21 (thirteen years ago)

18 that have started at least one game or 18 dubbed 'no. 1 starting qb'?

mookieproof, Thursday, 8 March 2012 00:24 (thirteen years ago)

hmmm I assume just 18 different people who have started

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 8 March 2012 00:31 (thirteen years ago)

obviously there have been other dudes who started a few games due to injuries, but i *think* there have been just 11 'starting qbs' for the steelers in my lifetime. there's been a fair bit of half-assedness:

terry bradshaw
cliff stoudt
david woodley
mark malone
bubby brister
neil o'donnell
kordell stewart
mike tomczak
kent graham
tommy maddox
ben roethlisberger

mookieproof, Thursday, 8 March 2012 00:36 (thirteen years ago)

the other day I suddenly remembered the year of Tommy Maddox

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 8 March 2012 00:52 (thirteen years ago)

it is a weird thing, being an nfl quarterback. i mean, looking at that list i have fond feelings for bradshaw, malone and maddox -- the latter two only because they were hopelessly overmatched but game. and ben of course has his own issues.

when cliff stoudt later played for the usfl's birmingham stallions, ppl went to their game against the pittsburgh maulers just to boo him.

it's pretty awesome when one makes an *era*, though, like peyton or brady or marino.

mookieproof, Thursday, 8 March 2012 01:00 (thirteen years ago)

I know Peyton probably has a different selection criteria than fans do, but I would LOVE him to pick Miami just so he and Brady can be in the same division AND whip the Jets four times a season between them.

Bo Jackson Overdrive, Thursday, 8 March 2012 02:14 (thirteen years ago)

Mulling it over some more, I think that Texans job seems like way too good a setup for Manning to let pass. You say that Schaub has one year left after this one on his contract, that means they might not have to eat to much to cut him, as the bonus was paid a few years back. Mario Williams is a free agent and he was a big #1 pick guy, so that is off their books. If the finances are there for Houston, I think that is going to be the place.

It's way too tempting to actually walk into a club that is a winner, especially one with such a top shelf WR and RB in Johnson and Foster. Kubiak is also a lower key offensive minded guy who worked with Elway, so I don't think it would be a big ego battle thing with the head coach and QB. Add in they had a rookie QB with some skills and some experience, so they kind of got the injury and long term future setup (possibly).

I think that is money and it makes way, way more sense than any other deal out there.

earlnash, Thursday, 8 March 2012 02:43 (thirteen years ago)

Beyond that, if they can get Manning signed before the draft- Houston has a pretty good chip to trade with Schaub.

mookieproof, Thursday, 8 March 2012 02:45 (thirteen years ago)

Jay Fiedler - actually maybe the most decent of the lot. He was real mobile, but that is one reason he couldn't stay healthy, as he took a pounding.

Brian Griese - He just never had "it" to get over his dad, going playing where he played, wasn't going to work out.

A.J. Feeley - I guess you can hang his success on Andy Reid, as he looked pretty competent (as most of his backups did) playing for the Eagles.

Gus Frerotte & Sage Rosenfels - both of those dudes at times looked like they might have had the chops to be a good QB, then they would do something horrifically stupid and just fall apart.

Daunte Culpepper - damaged goods. Dude had an arm at one point.

Joey Harrington - Hey, he wasn't the first great college QB to not transfer into the big time.

Trent Green - good QB and was at IU when I was there, but he was old and busted up by the time he got to Miami (which lasted what like 2 starts until he got clocked and got the concussion that ended his career). Green getting hurt and Warner getting the nod with the Rams is probably one of the bigger "What If's" in recent NFL history.

Chad Pennington - the guy had a HOF football brain and a CFL arm. He really wasn't the same after the first big shoulder surgery.

earlnash, Thursday, 8 March 2012 02:54 (thirteen years ago)

Jay really was the most successful of the bunch, but he also inherited one of the best defensive units they've had since the turn of the century for a few years. it was more than that though...he wasn't a great athlete and he turned the ball over way too much, but he has a series of memorable moments like that crazy come-from-behind win against the Broncos...with a broken thumb. Still say Miami wins the division and/or gets a bye in 2002 if he doesn't go down and Lucas flushes it away.

Trent Green, I felt so horrible for him. Basically Ted Ginn's fault for trying to change direction on a WR handoff play, forcing Trent to attempt to block a defender who laid him out. seeing him unconscious those few moments was just hella sad.

Humorously, Miami's offense was actually putting up a lot of points with him as a starter.

Bo Jackson Overdrive, Thursday, 8 March 2012 02:57 (thirteen years ago)

david woodley - He was a decent QB if all you had to do was hand off the ball. Hey it worked enough to get the Dolphins to a Superbowl.

mark malone - He could run, but the throwing thing was kind of dicey.

bubby brister - Decent at times and it is sad that the days of QBs being named Bubby or Billy Joe probably is at an end.

neil o'donnell - Decent at points, but like the Steelers conservative offense, not a guy that could go toe to toe in a big passing game with someone really good.

kordell stewart - He was kick ass as SLASH and if they left him at that the story might have ended up different. It might have been different if the Steelers special teams would have quit giving up TDs in the playoffs. He got a lot of crap, but in the end it was a team that ran first and second that could be outmatched if it ran into a team with a big passing game.

mike tomczak - (search for Bears quarterbacks)

tommy maddox - The guy was a bust that came back out and had one nice season. That's a nice story there even though he didn't do much else after that.

earlnash, Thursday, 8 March 2012 03:03 (thirteen years ago)

neil o'donnell

he wasn't really required to go toe-to-toe with anyone as much as to not throw the ball to larry brown

mookieproof, Thursday, 8 March 2012 03:06 (thirteen years ago)

My feeling is that no matter how good you are in the NFL, becoming "GREAT" is a whole heck of alot of being in the right place ad the right time. Trent Green is kind of an illustration of that, as he had a few really fine seasons as a starter and if things go different...hey you never know.

earlnash, Thursday, 8 March 2012 03:07 (thirteen years ago)

wau there are 10 dudes on that bears list i haven't even heard of

mookieproof, Thursday, 8 March 2012 05:11 (thirteen years ago)

Steve Fuller- decent backup QB, won a playoff game and if hadn't gotten hurt after Jimmy Mac in 86, they might have had another shot at the Superbowl.

Mike Tomczak- much maligned, but really better than many of these clowns that followed. He hung around the NFL for a long time.
Doug Flutie- First start was a playoff game against the 49ers as a rookie. The Bears gave up on him after that embarrassment and in hind sight was mistake, as Flutie did eventually prove he could play in the NFL.

Jim Harbaugh- Harbaugh was kind of a scapegoat as he became the starter as the great Bears teams were in apogee with Payton gone and that good offensive line starting to fall apart. Ditka really screwed him big time pulling that yanking stunt in Minnesota and the fans turned on him big time. In hindsight, he was WAY freakin better than most of these bozos and could have been a solid for a lot longer. His scrambling ability bailed out a their O-line a bunch. The only game I ever saw in person was the Vikings versus the Bears like the weekend that Jordan retired for the first time (so probably 92?) and they sacked him like 7 times and hit him a dozen more. The line was so porous and yet every Bear fan listening to talk radio driving out talked about how much Harbaugh was to blame for the loss, which was complete insanity.

Peter Tom Willis- He was hyped up for about a half a year after he was drafted, I think because of the three name thing and because he had that Jesse Palmer thing that he kind of looked like a QB. He was also one of many Florida State QBs that put up huge numbers in college and not do squat in the pros.

Will Furrer- Don't even remember the dude.

Erik Kramer- He actually was pretty decent when healthy. He had one good season with the Bears.

Steve Walsh- See Peter Tom Willis and insert Miami of Florida where it says Florida State.

Dave Kreig- This guy was a pretty good QB for a long time, not heralded as he played in Seattle. He played for the Bears late in his career and had a few decent games on very middling Bears clubs. I think he was there in the Wannstadt 7-9 into infinity years.

Rick Mirer- The guy had a decent rookie year at Seattle then turned to suck. The Bears cannot help but get rooked on Notre Dame guys, but hey Mirer kept getting a job for ten years or more.

Steve Stenstrom & Moses Moreno- Don't remember, I didn't watch as much football for a couple of years as I used to have to work a bunch of Sundays at a restaurant.

Shane Matthews- See Steve Walsh, insert Florida in place of 'The U'.

Cade McNown- Flush that #1 down the toilet. He looked cool throwing from the left side though.

Jim Miller- One of my favorites, as the dude was a total meatball. His press conference after he got busted for steroids was hilarious. He was decent, but couldn't stay healthy after having the one OK year.

Chris Chandler- Chandler was a decent QB that could never stay healthy. When he could play, he did alright and put up some results like in Atlanta. The guy played in the NFL forever and ended up with the Bears at the end of his career.

Henry Burris- This dude was terrible. He was one of the worse ones, even more so then Krenzel. That season the Bears went through everyone and a bucket playing QB and I don't think that Burris guy could of started at Illinois, let alone the Bears. Burris started either a Monday night or Sunday night game and it was one of the most freaking ugly games a QB could have.

Kordell Stewart- The guy had some talent and maybe if just left as a 'slash' player, he might have had more success. He took the brunt of the Steelers long time failures in the playoffs, some much deserved. It wasn't a terrible idea giving him a shot, but I think the failure seemed to kind of break him a bit. When he first started though, he was an exciting player for a season or two.

Rex Grossman- In the end, see Shane Matthews but give him a bunch more starts.

Jonathan Quinn- Another guy that got a shot in lost season. He didn't have much.

Craig Krenzel- Dude gave it the old college try, but he just didn't have the chops. I kind of liked the guy, but he didn't have much of an arm.

Chad Hutchinson- This is a backup that got hyped, a signing for the Bears a bit like Steve Walsh, who started as a backup with the Cowboys. He had some big ass teeth.

Kyle Orton- I like the guy and there have been some decent QBs to come out of Purdue, so I hope for the best.

Brian Griese- Dude was following Elway, his dad is a Hall of Fame QB and he ended up a QB for the Bears -- i.e. he was screwed from jump street.

― earlnash, Tuesday, December 2, 2008 9:17 PM (3 years ago) Bookmark Flag Post Permalink

Jeff Blake is one of my favorite of the more obscure Bears QBs. That dude had a cannon of the arm and a couple of decent years with the Bengals. If he would have ended up with a better club early in his career, things might have been different.

Vince Evans- The guy had a really good arm and started a bit before Jimmy Mac. He hung around the NFL for a long time afterwards.

Bob Avellini- The dude would run for more yards than pass some games. Payton always got more running the ball for more yards than Avellini would thrown.

Mike Phipps - Dude was a big time first round draft bust that ended up with the Bears for a while before Jimmy Mac.

omar little, Thursday, 8 March 2012 08:22 (thirteen years ago)

the funny thing about Griese was I was posting on/writing columns for this (lol uber-conservative) Dolphins fan site in 2003, and fans were so clamoring for him to start to the point where his ultimately effective debut against the (then horrible) Chargers had people using the words "Marino-esque" to describe him.

Even after he was stinking the building up, people still wanted to believe he was the savior until finally Fiedler won his job back and actually got them (momentarily) back on track.

49ers just signed Manning ... ham.

polyphonic, Sunday, 18 March 2012 03:49 (thirteen years ago)

Yeah, I have to think the Niners stealth action could pay dividends. Also, there have been reports that Alex Smith is shopping for a new agent, since he shares Tom Condon with Peyton. I guarantee you Condon will more "fairly" represent Peyton than Alex Smith because of the potential payday.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 18 March 2012 03:50 (thirteen years ago)

yeah that prob makes sense from smith's prospective

peyton going to SF would make some sense, i guess -- awful division, great defense, one of the best coaches in the NFL... i guess he assumes he can overcome the terrible WR core

3hunn O))) (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 18 March 2012 03:54 (thirteen years ago)

Moss + Manningham is a marked improvement over last year. They may force Crabtree to play better.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 18 March 2012 03:58 (thirteen years ago)

wait, did they actually sign manningham? i thought he was in negotiations w/ the rams?

3hunn O))) (J0rdan S.), Monday, 19 March 2012 01:16 (thirteen years ago)

y'know I could live with acquiring Alex Smith if he didn't have the Keystone Kops to throw to

Bo Jackson Overdrive, Monday, 19 March 2012 01:17 (thirteen years ago)

polyphonic, is alex smith good? plz advise

why would you ask me, i am the least knowledgeable!

but anyway, I think that if you give him a good pocket he can run the west coast very effectively, but isn't very adept at working under pressure or throwing the deep ball. I'd rather just stick with Matt Moore for cheap and keep building. Overall I think he's in that mix of the 15-25th best quarterbacks ... he can win if he has the guys around him but he isn't a difference maker on his own.

polyphonic, Monday, 19 March 2012 01:40 (thirteen years ago)

3hunn O))) (J0rdan S.), Monday, 19 March 2012 01:44 (thirteen years ago)

or else they're looking at one of the worst WR groups in nfl history

3hunn O))) (J0rdan S.), Monday, 19 March 2012 01:44 (thirteen years ago)

I have been really impressed with Reggie McKenzie so far. Dude is just like ... you know what? This team is garbage. Let's cut everyone.

I think the Dolphins would be wise to do the same thing. They're up against the cap without much to show for it.

polyphonic, Monday, 19 March 2012 01:48 (thirteen years ago)

Now that the Seahawks have assembled the backup quarterbacks of Brett Favre, Aaron Rodgers, and Philip Rivers they are ready for success.

polyphonic, Monday, 19 March 2012 02:19 (thirteen years ago)

Miami's defense actually has the potential to be pretty great though

Bo Jackson Overdrive, Monday, 19 March 2012 03:03 (thirteen years ago)

Niners looking to sign Mike Wallace. Wallace, Manningham, Moss, Vernon Davis. Yeah, what a shitty receiving core that would be.

You're a notch, I'm a legend (Bill Magill), Monday, 19 March 2012 14:28 (thirteen years ago)

do they have like $750m in cap room? cuz i'm pretty sure that's what it would take to sign both manning and wallace

3hunn O))) (J0rdan S.), Monday, 19 March 2012 14:29 (thirteen years ago)

iirc Niners do have some wiggly cap space to work with.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 19 March 2012 14:32 (thirteen years ago)

Johnny Fever, Monday, 19 March 2012 17:11 (thirteen years ago)

there are plenty of people who have done worse than endorse a terrible Presidential candidate, it's just that hardly anyone in the US knows who they are

I mean, look at Michaël Llodra, the racist French tennis player:

After his first round victory over Ernests Gulbis at the 2012 BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells, during which Llodra was overheard by fans and journalists making racist and sexist comments to a female Gulbis fan, Llodra was fined $2500 by the ATP for his behaviour. [9] He later admitted making the comments in interviews with French media and complained that the fine was too high. Llodra did not make matters better for himself during an interview with a reporter from the Chinese news Web site SINA.com, in which the Frenchman claimed he attempted to apologize for his remarks. “My words were not aimed at China,” Llodra began. "I love Chinese — I can totally make love with a Chinese girl,” he added, before being cut off by the A.T.P. official monitoring the interview. The journalist, who took offense at the remark, said that he did not find Llodra’s apology sincere. This was not the first incident in which charges of racism have been leveled at Llodra. He denied his comments were racist during his 2011 French Open first round defeat at the hands of Belgian qualifier Steve Darcis, comparing the atmosphere on court to that of a north African souk while veteran Moroccan umpire Mohammed El Jennati was in the chair. [10]

I think the thing with Tebow in Denver is that Manning would have to be willing to leave the field perhaps on some plays.

If Denver kept Tim Tebow made him the 3rd string QB, sometime H-Back and then just used him at QB like Florida did that first National Championship season (short yardage, red zone running sets), he would be awesome. The guy is a beast of a fullback running the ball.

You never know what might be going on in the background. It could be they offer him to stay and that job or it could be straight trade him out. Thing is other than j-ville, who really is going to want him?
