It's a LITTLE overstated in its seizure of moment, but this is what journalists do, and in this admittedly epochal instance he's entitled to a metanarrative or two. He writes well, whatever you say about him (and his unashamedly pro-Aussie perspective). Certainly he hasn't shirked from praise, and he's not being as doomy about Australia as he could have been ("give a few youngsters a go" is probably the fairest response to all this).

I ended up going to both the ODI match at the SCG AND the Twenty20 Big Bash Final the next night at the Olympic Stadium.
I was much more drunk at the former but enjoyed the latter game much more from a cricketing standpoint (that's even with Warner's gutsy knock in the former). And much better for transporting issues too since CityRail got me home quickly and for free.
