sorry for having a sheff utd based question on the sheff utd thread.
― a hoy hoy, Sunday, 26 September 2010 23:28 (fourteen years ago) link
there's something innately patronising and thoughtless about wandering into a thread dedicated to a relatively struggling lower-league club and asking about an on-loan youngster whom you manifestly hope outgrows his current surrounds, returns to the Emirates and occasionally turns in a decent Carling Cup performance - it shows you don't really care about Sheffield United
however upon reading a recent teamsheet I have espied classic forward-bomber Nyron Nosworthy, a man whose whereabouts had slipped my consciousness. I hope he too is thriving, although results suggest perhaps not

Ok impartially I see this incident and I know Morgan deliberatly wanted to elbow Hume. BUT the elbow landed in the wrong place at the wrong time. Hell it happens in nearly every match.
CONCLUSION: Did he want to hurt him? Yes. Did he want to destroy him? No. Was the injury mostly down to bad luck? Yes.

Oh they certainly make up for it, that's true, but whatever comes afterwards can never change the feeling at the time. There was no way of knowing in 92 what was around the corner - instead it felt Newcastle in 96, the one big chance blown never to return.

"Duffy, a United substitute, jinked into the area from the right and lashed a shot past Westwood, and all Wednesday’s good work from the previous 20 minutes was wasted. It was ripped up, thrown in a bin and set on fire after 76 minutes, when Clarke burst between two limp defenders and clipped the most delicate of finishes over Westwood."

Wilder had an interesting take on his goalscorer. “He’s done well to be the match-winner because after 25 minutes he was coming off as he was absolutely useless. But I left him in there. I still don’t think this is a defining result but we’re in the mix.”

I just hope they have treacle in their boots tomorrow night, can't be dealing with the potential of a last game relegation like in 2002. My heart can't take it. After Burnley getting into bother for putting out a weakened squad for a dead rubber game it seems we'll up against a full strength xi who have just won 4 on the bounce.
