― dan m, Thursday, 25 August 2011 20:54 (thirteen years ago) link
Cherundolo was decent for Hannover at the weekend.
― pandemic, Thursday, 25 August 2011 21:08 (thirteen years ago) link
Has Chandler caught your eye at all pandemic, assuming you caught a Nuremberg match or two last season?
― boxall, Thursday, 25 August 2011 22:06 (thirteen years ago) link
No he hasn't boxall, and Nuremberg haven't had a full game shown on TV yet this season. Will definitely keep an eye out and report back tho.

lil' bradley to chievo, guess it's good he has a place to play but idk about italy
― dan m, Tuesday, 30 August 2011 20:47 (thirteen years ago) link
Cherundolo was better than decent at the weekend. In fact he was v good indeed. Excellent positioning, good concentration, effective simple use of the ball, and one bone crushing but fair challenge. He doesn't (or at least didn't in this game) get forward much to lend support to the right winger however.
― pandemic, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 09:41 (thirteen years ago) link
Chievo was the dullest, least creative team I watched at least twice last season, maybe Bradley could become prolific again like he was for Heerenveen a long time ago.
Cherundolo's well-liked by US fans afaik, but is part of the old guard that Klinsmann is responsible for phasing out. Chandler is supposed to be a more attack-minded replacement.
― boxall, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 14:08 (thirteen years ago) link
yeah cherundolo has been a rock for years
― dan m, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 16:19 (thirteen years ago) link
love cherundolo, but excited about chandler. liverpool has signed 18 year old californian Villyan Bijev. apparently he is a wonder kid, any one know if he will play for the us or choose bulgaria?
― mizzell, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 16:24 (thirteen years ago) link
he's been involved w/ the US U-18 setup, called into some camps. i'd imagine if he keeps progressing and keeps getting called in (u-20s next) he'd stick with us.
― carstens, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 17:46 (thirteen years ago) link
according to avi creditor on sports illustrated, fabian johnson is "capable" of playing left back, but is ineligible for costa rica and belgium as they switch his registration.
is there any reason both howard and friedel wear number 24 for their clubs?

really bummed for pontius, who broke his leg saturday - he's been dcu's best player for the past 2-3 months, got called up for the last couple friendlies, and seemed to have all the momentum toward breaking into the rotation

Ribery has looked like a World XI player this season, Cherundolo had better step up.
― boxall, Friday, 11 November 2011 20:00 (twelve years ago) link
think cherundolo has been dropped for his last 2 or 3 club games, so either rusty or has a point to prove, or both i guess.

This had better be a better side than the one against France; both teams looked liked warmed-over baby-shit on Friday.
― Do you know what the secret of comity is? (Michael White), Tuesday, 15 November 2011 17:40 (twelve years ago) link
They look pretty attacking and dangerous but both teams have had a bunch of great chances, the pitch is so densely covered in fog it could get farcical.
