Conference goals yeah I got some of those.

Matt DC, Sunday, 10 January 2016 11:39 (nine years ago)

So proud of former Spurs defender Dorian Dervite and has magnificent goal for Eastleigh yesterday.

Matt DC, Sunday, 10 January 2016 11:41 (nine years ago)

we taught him that

sounding like a silly Iain Banks on a track (imago), Sunday, 10 January 2016 12:47 (nine years ago)

Tasty game this. Amazing work from Wasilewski earlier, managing to take out two players with one tackle, including one Leicester player.

Matt DC, Sunday, 10 January 2016 16:26 (nine years ago)

Gray looks good.

On a Raqqa tip (ShariVari), Sunday, 10 January 2016 16:29 (nine years ago)

He does. Great touch and pass from Onomah to set up the attack that led to the Spurs goal as well.

Matt DC, Sunday, 10 January 2016 16:34 (nine years ago)

Yep. He looks really bright.

Watching this twenty minutes behind. Carroll and Dier much much wasteful in their passing than our central midfield has been, but really good stuff so far, allowing for soft setpiece concession.

Saoirse birther (darraghmac), Sunday, 10 January 2016 16:45 (nine years ago)

The romance of these two amateur guys having the chance to commentate a big match like this, presume they're milkmen or something the rest of the time?

Saoirse birther (darraghmac), Sunday, 10 January 2016 16:47 (nine years ago)

Oxford though.

Matt DC, Sunday, 10 January 2016 17:01 (nine years ago)

Ack. That was good.

On a Raqqa tip (ShariVari), Sunday, 10 January 2016 17:04 (nine years ago)

Ahhhh spurs......I missed ye, ye cunts

Saoirse birther (darraghmac), Sunday, 10 January 2016 17:15 (nine years ago)

God help me....I missed ye

Saoirse birther (darraghmac), Sunday, 10 January 2016 17:15 (nine years ago)

Who exactly are we crossing to, not that I'm not enjoying us creating all these nice crossing opportunities?

Saoirse birther (darraghmac), Sunday, 10 January 2016 17:17 (nine years ago)

Midweek will be fun.

On a Raqqa tip (ShariVari), Sunday, 10 January 2016 17:46 (nine years ago)

Towards the end I was starting to think that Alderweireld would make a pretty good deep lying playmaker or marauding winger.

Matt DC, Sunday, 10 January 2016 20:46 (nine years ago)

intended to go to the Cardiff-Shrewsbury game but my mate decided he couldn't be arsed so we watched it on tv. it was bad to the point of being upsetting

2-2 in the Spurs game was fair just about

a moment on the streets, a lifetime in the sheets (DJ Mencap), Sunday, 10 January 2016 22:00 (nine years ago)

I am on the train to Liverpool fully expecting a loss, but looking forward to it all the same. Apparently we've sold out an away allocation of 6000 which isn't bad for us on a January Wednesday.

Tim, Wednesday, 20 January 2016 10:20 (nine years ago)

have a good time tim :) if you can force 5 corners that should be good for 3 goals at least.

pandemic, Wednesday, 20 January 2016 14:14 (nine years ago)

Haha that goal against you at ours must've been the first time we scored from a corner in like 2 years.

Tim, Wednesday, 20 January 2016 14:20 (nine years ago)

That edgy moment when a bunch of randoms have come in the pub and you're not sure how they'll react when you cheer Exeter

Think Davies just sealed it, he's not and never will be good enough.

Saoirse birther (darraghmac), Wednesday, 20 January 2016 20:07 (nine years ago)

May not be tested

No stage school training, natural talent and attitude by the shed (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 20 January 2016 20:11 (nine years ago)

Carroll too

Saoirse birther (darraghmac), Wednesday, 20 January 2016 20:14 (nine years ago)

Wow our passing is fuckin *awful*

Saoirse birther (darraghmac), Wednesday, 20 January 2016 20:17 (nine years ago)

Can we really be skimming by so much on alli's dynamism and Kane's presence?

Saoirse birther (darraghmac), Wednesday, 20 January 2016 20:18 (nine years ago)

<3 Son

On a Raqqa tip (ShariVari), Wednesday, 20 January 2016 20:27 (nine years ago)

Davies though...

On a Raqqa tip (ShariVari), Wednesday, 20 January 2016 20:28 (nine years ago)

Carroll at least picks a nice pass.

Davies with a nice cross or two but really hard to see what else is at epl level

Saoirse birther (darraghmac), Wednesday, 20 January 2016 20:31 (nine years ago)

Jaysus tho our crossing is nice tonight.

The one game we don't play Kane but ah well

Saoirse birther (darraghmac), Wednesday, 20 January 2016 20:31 (nine years ago)

I can't see Carroll improving the rest of his game enough to be a regular, though I said similar about Kane enough times,

Dier might grow into a DM but his passing and decision making are poor and slowing the team down. Davies makes too many mistakes.

i don't think I've seen the team play particularly well since West Ham in November but it would be churlish to complain too loudly about the general air of efficiency.

On a Raqqa tip (ShariVari), Wednesday, 20 January 2016 20:38 (nine years ago)

Think Spurs have been largely dece since I've been watching but Leicester not offering much tbh

No stage school training, natural talent and attitude by the shed (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 20 January 2016 21:00 (nine years ago)

"Spurs wasted an opportunity to put the tie to bed" aka go 2-0 up after 55 minutes

is it me or this shit getting more prevalent in commentary

Skaciety (pronounced the way you'd pronounce society) (DJ Mencap), Wednesday, 20 January 2016 21:03 (nine years ago)

Getting quite fatigued with playing Leicester by now but Okazaki's furious run is always entertaining to watch.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 20 January 2016 21:05 (nine years ago)

Bolton Eastleigh looked like a proper humdinger though.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 20 January 2016 21:06 (nine years ago)

Great pass.

On a Raqqa tip (ShariVari), Wednesday, 20 January 2016 21:10 (nine years ago)

Jonathan Pierce is giving the most senile 90mins of commentary I've ever heard.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 20 January 2016 21:11 (nine years ago)

xp to self then he was like "Leicester need to score here" when they were 2-0 down with 30 seconds of injury time left. wtf

Skaciety (pronounced the way you'd pronounce society) (DJ Mencap), Wednesday, 20 January 2016 21:38 (nine years ago)

benteke is so crap at one on ones in stoppage time

pandemic, Wednesday, 20 January 2016 21:50 (nine years ago)

Son wasn't great but two moments of quality were prob always going to be enough in this one.

Pos: wimmer looked really solid at cb, vorm both solid and nice and vocal, which lloris lacks. Bentaleb clearly a good option squadwise. Walker had a good night and even below par we looked likely to react best to a bounce

Hey: we always seem below par and rely on a bounce. Seem extraordinarily willing to give the ball away, not even by positive intent just by shit or dangerous passing. Eriksen and lamela really poor. Entire midfield waving their feet at tackles. Nobody can perform the Kane role. Davies is solid in a really bad way.

And ranieri p much just admitted throwing it.

Saoirse birther (darraghmac), Wednesday, 20 January 2016 22:00 (nine years ago)

Was gonna say it looked like Poch cared more but also fuck it, u play to win

No stage school training, natural talent and attitude by the shed (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 20 January 2016 22:41 (nine years ago)

Both teams played essentially a second string but Leicester could seriously have won the FA Cup, in fact it was pretty likely.

Matt DC, Thursday, 21 January 2016 09:06 (nine years ago)

Going to Anfield for a bit of a sing was fun, and being in Liverpool (I haven't been here for something like 20 years) is too. The game was a bit underwhelming: we all knew we had no chance when David Noble wasn't in the squad, on top of the other injuries we have, but at least that meant we could get on with enjoying the occasion without being bothered by troublesome hope. Would have liked the home fans to be a bit more interested but can fully understand why they weren't.

Tim, Thursday, 21 January 2016 09:46 (nine years ago)

Trying to remember when I last saw TWP score a goal that good.

Although due to in-law loyalties I'm all Derby tonight.

Matt DC, Friday, 29 January 2016 20:13 (nine years ago)

The next 70mins or so of this are going to be dire though.

Matt DC, Friday, 29 January 2016 20:15 (nine years ago)

was the goal a curler from just outside the left-hand side of the box into the top right corner? that's like the classic stereotypical good rooney goal that he scores every so often. in fact on one of the few occasions I saw him play in the flesh he scored that exact sort of goal.

Unbelievably bad refereeing in the Millwall / Brighton game. With VAR it would have been a completely different match.

ShariVari, Sunday, 17 March 2019 15:35 (six years ago)

in keeping with the theme of the decade, plucky racists trumping nice leftie wets, or something

Gave up watching that match, it was so dreadful, seems like I missed all the fun.

Bielsa, Bub (Tom D.), Sunday, 17 March 2019 17:57 (six years ago)

From the commentary it would seem Sollymarch made a significant contribution to the outcome, I don't know who this March guy is they're crediting with the equalizer though.

Bielsa, Bub (Tom D.), Sunday, 17 March 2019 18:00 (six years ago)

Excellent match. Deulofeu’s goal was phenomenal.

can't moan, it was always going to be that kind of game and hopefully our younger players will learn from it. the cup run's been gravy on a great season. still believe this is the start of establishing ourselves as trophy contenders.
