the ref in the spurs villareal game is giving himself a problem having booked 18 players in five first half minutes

tuah dé danann (darraghmac), Tuesday, 16 September 2025 19:47 (six months ago)

is ch lge games on a thurs gonna be a regular thing going frwd or just this week?

oscar bravo, Tuesday, 16 September 2025 20:30 (six months ago)

Two incredible games today, neither of which involved Tottenham.

Eight goals in the second half of Juve-Dortmund.

ShariVari, Tuesday, 16 September 2025 20:57 (six months ago)

Newcastle seem unable to sustain the madness with which they start these by games.

LocalGarda, Thursday, 18 September 2025 20:18 (six months ago)

LOL Rashford, of course.

I Didn't Always Agree With What He Said But... (Tom D.), Thursday, 18 September 2025 20:18 (six months ago)

Haha. Rashford, Elanga, all good players if they'd only been given a chance at a big club before now.

LocalGarda, Thursday, 18 September 2025 20:20 (six months ago)

I love how they're now giving more coverage to women's football, but it was still a shock to see man utd winning in europe, just for a moment before i realised "oh not that man utd"

Proust Ian Rush (Camaraderie at Arms Length), Thursday, 18 September 2025 20:23 (six months ago)

Old Marcus is running riot.

a hoy hoy, Wednesday, 26 November 2025 20:58 (four months ago)

just such a lazy fucking team, shameless lack of effort or interest in the basics

Wichita Referee's Assistant (darraghmac), Wednesday, 26 November 2025 21:39 (four months ago)

I know a season is not defined by a November performance, and lol Arsenal I know, but this Arsenal team are a different class tonight. Bayern have looked indestructible this season and we’ve made them look like chumps.

Declan Rice is honestly looking like the best midfielder in the world right now. He is everywhere, winning balls, chasing people down, dictating play, playing killer balls and of course, being a set piece specialist. I don’t know if we’ve had this good an all round midfielder since Vieira.

a hoy hoy, Wednesday, 26 November 2025 21:44 (four months ago)

Slot out.

a hoy hoy, Wednesday, 26 November 2025 21:50 (four months ago)

having dodged the Maccabi Tel Aviv bullet, we now have seats at VP being ripped out and thrown around by uh Young Boys fans

Sgt. Biscuits, Thursday, 27 November 2025 19:18 (four months ago)

this better not spoil my enjoyment of watching the Wolves in the flesh on Sunday

Sgt. Biscuits, Thursday, 27 November 2025 19:20 (four months ago)

I feel somewhat for the Young Boys players, who did not sign up for literally any aspect of any of this and visibly just want to go home

Sgt. Biscuits, Thursday, 27 November 2025 19:22 (four months ago)

ah no the fella off the bench didn't get the memo, but was also offside. No party for the inexplicable Swiss Violence Automatons

Maccabi Tel Aviv 0 Lyon 6

Tony Bubbles (Tom D.), Thursday, 27 November 2025 22:17 (four months ago)

carrying on from the pl thread...

sadly i think these games don't really tell you a lot. imo the bigger euro sides like real, and tonight inter, have some sort of institutional inability to disrespect another venerable big side, so they won't just rip into liverpool like prem teams have been doing all season. it's like the game must be sort of cosplayed as a serious and tight affair. i guess the format of the cl doesn't boost the urgency much either in this regard.

LocalGarda, Tuesday, 9 December 2025 22:05 (four months ago)

i'll fucking take it tho

LocalGarda, Tuesday, 9 December 2025 22:06 (four months ago)

Keown should be in a cage, not getting to commentate a second Arsenal game in four days

Sgt. Biscuits, Wednesday, 10 December 2025 21:47 (four months ago)

Do Aston Villa have an unsustainable reliance on lightly-caressed daisy-cutters, trundling low, low, inexorably to the right of the opposition goalkeeper's despairing dive?

Sgt. Biscuits, Thursday, 11 December 2025 22:09 (four months ago)

Fuck it, abolish the Champions League, let EPL teams play each other in a new league - perhaps call it the English Premier League - and let everyone else enjoy themselves.

LocalGarda, Tuesday, 10 March 2026 20:28 (one month ago)

Feel like you should be handing someone a resignation notice at the same time when you sub off your novice keeper 16 minutes in.

ShariVari, Tuesday, 10 March 2026 20:35 (one month ago)

The good news is that they’ve managed to limit Atleti to four shots on target so far this half.

ShariVari, Tuesday, 10 March 2026 20:36 (one month ago)

yeah not sure destroying a young player's confidence is the ideal move when the entire team is teetering on the edge

LocalGarda, Tuesday, 10 March 2026 20:38 (one month ago)

Just tuning in...whst was the idea there?

Number None, Tuesday, 10 March 2026 20:49 (one month ago)

I thought that Osimhen disallowed goal shouldve stood. Maybe he thought Ibou had enough embarrassment for one day.

Saxophone Of Futility (Michael B), Tuesday, 10 March 2026 20:57 (one month ago)

it absolutely should. by letter of the (bizarre) law the liverpool one should have stood as well apparently. it's a strange state of affairs, some terrible performances, could have lost by more, definitely still in the tie and may well win but the bigger picture is this team hasn't a hope of winning the cl.

LocalGarda, Tuesday, 10 March 2026 21:00 (one month ago)

Bayern look ludicrously good, even without Kane. At least Spurs aren’t alone in being embarrassed today.

ShariVari, Tuesday, 10 March 2026 21:22 (one month ago)

Soft penalty for Arsenal. At least, this ref isnt having their corner shenanigans.

Saxophone Of Futility (Michael B), Wednesday, 11 March 2026 19:41 (one month ago)

Fede Valverde had scored once in three years in the CL until today. City seem to have fallen apart.

ShariVari, Wednesday, 11 March 2026 21:57 (one month ago)

The Glimt three up from the first leg.

Schlub 7 (Tom D.), Wednesday, 11 March 2026 21:58 (one month ago)

Playing your second string keeper and losing 5-2 away from home when they have a nightmare seems to be very fashionable at the moment.

Could potentially see Glimt getting a result over two legs against either Leverkusen or Arsenal too.

ShariVari, Wednesday, 11 March 2026 22:03 (one month ago)

City glass jaw always a thing. Bodo another thing that people keep trying to understand but mostly failing. What are they smoking up there?

LocalGarda, Wednesday, 11 March 2026 22:33 (one month ago)

Bodo Glimt might have met their match.

ShariVari, Tuesday, 17 March 2026 19:23 (three weeks ago)

Sporting have had 31 shots so far and still ten minutes to go.

ShariVari, Tuesday, 17 March 2026 19:26 (three weeks ago)

ShariVari, Wednesday, 18 March 2026 19:23 (three weeks ago)

LocalGarda, Wednesday, 18 March 2026 19:25 (three weeks ago)

All this talk about Prem teams being too strong for the rest of the CL goes to show how useless of a barometer this new CL setup with its pile of largely pointless games in the league setup is

Saxophone Of Futility (Michael B), Wednesday, 18 March 2026 20:05 (three weeks ago)

it's nice seeing them happy at least for a change.

LocalGarda, Wednesday, 18 March 2026 21:23 (three weeks ago)

there's no better EPL team to watch than Liverpool in this mood

imago, Wednesday, 18 March 2026 21:25 (three weeks ago)

LocalGarda, Wednesday, 18 March 2026 21:26 (three weeks ago)

It'll be an awesome tie and not so easy to call imo

imago, Wednesday, 18 March 2026 21:28 (three weeks ago)

i mean it's a big statement performance for sure.

teams hoping to win the conference league next year will have taken note.

LocalGarda, Wednesday, 18 March 2026 21:30 (three weeks ago)

We can get into the CL next year by winning the CL this year, it's been established now

Francis Fuck Coprolalia (Camaraderie at Arms Length), Wednesday, 18 March 2026 21:31 (three weeks ago)

Seems straightforward, we should just do that.

Cracking game between Real and Bayern

Saxophone Of Futility (Michael B), Tuesday, 7 April 2026 20:55 (five days ago)

Watched that second half, was fantastic fun. Bayern extremely unruthless with their many 4-on-2s in the box mind

imago, Tuesday, 7 April 2026 20:57 (five days ago)

Slot out

Saxophone Of Futility (Michael B), Wednesday, 8 April 2026 21:01 (four days ago)

so toothless. the subs made us worse. formation fairly mad. before the subs it felt like we might sneak away only losing 1-0 but a very good second goal.

i like ekitike but he was absolutely dire this evening.

LocalGarda, Wednesday, 8 April 2026 21:03 (four days ago)

If we don't win the second leg then he's fucked. And we are very unlikely to win the second leg. Could easily lose it by a few goals. Grim.

Throw It Down Binman (Camaraderie at Arms Length), Wednesday, 8 April 2026 21:27 (four days ago)

PSG must be kicking themselves they didn't get 4 or 5 though.

Clarinet Cop (Tom D.), Wednesday, 8 April 2026 21:30 (four days ago)

definitely. i don't expect us to win really but score the first goal at anfield and it would get very uncomfortable for them.

LocalGarda, Wednesday, 8 April 2026 22:04 (four days ago)

a hoy hoy, Thursday, 9 April 2026 06:26 (three days ago)
