Yes, and some people accuse footballers of "lacking passion" when they're not up to scratch in a given game (or in general).

Some teams do lack passion. Newcastle last year were, player for player, easily good enough to stay up, they just didn't care enough.

They looked short of ideas in midfield as well without Ireland. You're not going to get much in the way of incisive passing with De Jong and Barry in there, especially compared to Modric/Huddlestone. There were times when Kolo Toure seemed like their best attacking midfielder.

The persistent talk of them selling Ireland just confuses ever more after a performance like that, it's true.

Dunno... the guy did get shot at for playing football. He looked like he was kinda getting back to form before that. 'bottlers' to me are more about the Berbatovs and lol Bordeaux this season, when there is really no excuse why supremely talented top of the table types (lol hungover alliteration) just chuck it in for no reason.
