I've never SBed anyone in my life - despite occasionally grumpy and challopsy exterior, I never follow through on it, so not v. likely to go round abusing powers. I'm never off the bloody internet either, so often around to do boring clean-ups.

fwiw being a sub-board mod is pretty much however much time commitment you want to put into it; your main abilities are locking threads, yellowcarding ppl and banning ppl from the subboard and given that this posting population seems to interact in a manner analogous to the NFL crew, it's likely most of these activities will happen for board-approved lols anyway

Which is why mod powers shouldn't be given to people who would do board-banning for lols (disclaimer: have no idea what goes on on the NFL board)

Last guy to get yellowcarded on NFL got slapped for taking a dump on our cookie parade, so it's definitely not done for the lol's.

really, you'd need a noms thread, a poll of 50-100 say and then to normalise results using a points system, with the top ten gettign inducted immediately

I think the ILM style nominations type poll would be very very dull when it comes to football chat. Straight automated poll or nothing really, but I don't really see the point of the excercise.

Well I still think it's a great idea and would work fine as you suggested it. It'd be basically a rolling poll series for lobbying for Mourinho v Ossie v Gary Neville or whoever each month, plenty of scope for challops there.
