no, leave it as is. it's busy, it's relevant to ILE, many posters use it as their main football thread, it's there because it's not a niche interest thread. this was all discussed on the thread about ILF

it's a natural thread to have in ILE, more than anything else. Lots more people will have a passing interest in the premier league than will care about football manager tactics, slagging r benitez i his own designated etc, and enough of them have already stated that they'd feel alienated if that thread were to be moved.

Which game IK? I've been trying to follow the Swedish league for a couple of seasons but the fact I lumbered myself with a chronically mediocre team meant I always get bored after the first couple of games.

AIK have a relegation six-pointer with the team one point below them (can't remember the name right now, it caught my eye when I was researching something else) - as AIK are the biggest club in Sweden and only a point ahead with three games left, this looks like potentially big news.

AIK v Gefle, Saturday 16th at 4pm local time - get it in the diary

Gefle won the home match 1-0. AIK being taken to new levels by Scotland's own Alex Miller.

AIK are also reigning champions, so no Liverpool parallels to be drawn here.

Oh, didn't even see AIK down there. I've been to Gävle, they have a huge straw goat in the square at Christmas, and that's about it.

AIK are the reigning champions as well. Wonder what's gone wrong.
