journey to the end of nyt (nakhchivan), Friday, 8 October 2010 17:11 (fourteen years ago)

chewing gum is a vile habit btw.....does mancini chew gum? that wd be a fitting triptych, then

journey to the end of nyt (nakhchivan), Friday, 8 October 2010 17:12 (fourteen years ago)

allardyce is entertaining (nb. i can no longer tell how much of this is down to reality or just the fake twitter acc)

mccarthy is alright by me

coyle is probably cuntier than advertised (not sure why i suspect this)

grant might be pleasant enough...?

could imagine bruce in the lowest rung on the sly

no argument abt pulis whatsoever - reminds me of many tosser bosses i have suffered under

McCarthy wd be a tremendous night out on the piss imo. Cd then slip him a mickey and have him taken somewhere far from Wolverhampton.

has coyle always had that big mole by his nose or did i only just notice recently? could be its existence is contributing to his plummeting stock

r|t|c, Friday, 8 October 2010 17:28 (fourteen years ago)

moyes seems like he'd be a total prick, but the kind who wins grudging respect. i guess that does = alright

avinha, Friday, 8 October 2010 17:37 (fourteen years ago)

Moyes is hilarious I'm sure he'd be nothing like Begbie irl

Isn't that bloke with the milk who gets punched in the BetFair advert supposed to be Big Sam's Big Face?

It would have been better with burger sauce (aldo), Friday, 8 October 2010 17:49 (fourteen years ago)

wenger needs to be a few rungs lower tbf, and allardyce in no way comes above redknapp. ferguson not ahead of mccarthy either.

LOVE mccarthy, madness, he's easily one of the best. i'd forgotten it was possible to like houllier, after his demise at liverpool, but his sparkly eyed passion for the game is great, he loves it.

I see what this is (Local Garda), Saturday, 9 October 2010 09:58 (fourteen years ago)

always liked houllier, i think he's a great influence to have around a club. maybe not in charge of transfers/tactics though!

McCarthy was gd in the wc. Not a lot of competition there tho'.

So what's Mancini's redeeming facet?!

xyzzzz__, Saturday, 9 October 2010 10:34 (fourteen years ago)

Scarf.

- suave dude
- formerly a lovely player
- supposedly told tevez to get to know his mother better
- subsequently supposedly dismissed the whole thing as "bollocks"
- whilst admitting it was all very "ballsy"

r|t|c, Saturday, 9 October 2010 11:52 (fourteen years ago)

i just can't work out my position on redknapp with this - he kind of takes "likeable cunt" to such an extreme that the whole concept falls apart

r|t|c, Saturday, 9 October 2010 11:57 (fourteen years ago)

he is a bit dull, mancini, but he has been getting more entertaining.

i love ancelotti i have to say, he's like an aging heavyweight boxer. plus a dead ringer for my dad who has accepted this and now refers to chelsea as "my team".

x-post my prob with redknapp is, even tho he's funny and all, just the natural overexposure that you get with football's self appointed "characters". you feel he prewrites the seemingly off the cuff press conferences, the press get a story out of him every week.

I see what this is (Local Garda), Saturday, 9 October 2010 11:59 (fourteen years ago)

thats part of a managers job these days though, to go into a press conference & give them a story that deflects attention away from the teams failings. Wenger & Ferguson are both experts at this.
Allardyce is the worst though, he does all this without any grace or charm whatsoever.

zappi, Saturday, 9 October 2010 12:28 (fourteen years ago)

ferguson does with a real panache, makes you feel good about life.

I see what this is (Local Garda), Saturday, 9 October 2010 12:33 (fourteen years ago)

ferguson, he'll have you in a rage for a good hour and then you'd just be shaking your head at him ruefully, he's a fuckin master at the deflective wind up. and he plays it straight, not with a twinkle or anything. lovely.

dont know why the mancini hate at all, must say. seems a decent blke, bit quiet by pl standards

i dont love everything, i love football (darraghmac), Saturday, 9 October 2010 12:59 (fourteen years ago)

any manager that's ever stood over the likes of ben thatcher would be my quickest route to 'cunt' tbh, all else is handbags

i dont love everything, i love football (darraghmac), Saturday, 9 October 2010 12:59 (fourteen years ago)

i like wenger a lot sometimes, eg he has a brain and has obv read books and stuff, ferguson's favourite book is prob peter scudamore's autobiography. that said wenger is a really bad loser.

I see what this is (Local Garda), Saturday, 9 October 2010 13:13 (fourteen years ago)

feel like wenger has had to swallow a lot of bullshit ref/FA decisions in his time that ferguson simply hasn't, though.

i dont love everything, i love football (darraghmac), Saturday, 9 October 2010 13:47 (fourteen years ago)

Phil Brown on 5 Live co-commenting. when talking about Sheffield Wednesday he calls them "Sheff Wed" haha.

zappi, Saturday, 9 October 2010 14:38 (fourteen years ago)

kinda miss that dude

avinha, Saturday, 9 October 2010 14:55 (fourteen years ago)

one month passes...

forgotten what a cunt hughes is

nakhchivan, Saturday, 20 November 2010 03:58 (fourteen years ago)

"They made the change with the view that they wanted to accelerate the process of getting success," he said. "That doesn't seem to have happened. I know what I left behind, that the club and the group of players I had there was good enough to hit the targets I was given. I knew they had to spend significantly more money [last] summer – that opportunity was going to be given to myself. It wasn't. If I had still been there I would have been there two and a half years so that I think would have helped."

nakhchivan, Saturday, 20 November 2010 04:00 (fourteen years ago)

kinda awkward title, ought to be renamed

are there any managers who aren't total cunts?

or s/thing

nakhchivan, Saturday, 20 November 2010 04:01 (fourteen years ago)

That quote is fair enough, he wasn't given enough time, although he shd know who he is dealing with. There is a seemingly endless supply of cash but anyone manager will only get so much of a go at the pot.

xyzzzz__, Saturday, 20 November 2010 09:20 (fourteen years ago)

quote is fair, hughes is a cunt

Goths in Home & Away in my lifetime (darraghmac), Saturday, 20 November 2010 13:17 (fourteen years ago)
