I cannot wait for Celtic to be the only Scottish team not in admin so they can join the 92 and we can end this horrible EPL shit.

Voting West Ham. Only salvagable thing about them (exciting & fast youngsters) are seemingly being ignored and I just cannot see them making it away from #20, even if they do get that new manager results bump soon.

I can't help but feel Blackpool will just bomb at some point.

I keep thinking we are further along in the season than we are - Blackpool's midtable place isn't as impressive as I think it is. It's only 13 points. While I do see them going down, I just can't see anyone but West Ham coming last.

Yeah, every time I look at the table something seems to have radically changed as if months of good runs and slumps have passed. This morning: Villa below Liverpool, for goodness' sake.

Think West Ham are leaving the EPL, but not with the wooden spoon. Said Wigan at the start and I'll stick with that - they do well periodically, but then they just drift for far, far too long. At some point they'll forget to come to life again.

West Ham i guess, but if so i don't believe Avram will still be there in May - can't quite see him taking two teams down in consecutive seasons, for some reason.

Are other football fans starting to realise why Chelsea fans all thought Avram Grant was a load of old shite?

^This.

But his record stinks. Managed Chelsea to their only trophyless season out of six, including unforgivable defeats to Barnsley (Barnsley!) and Spurs, relegated Pompey and doing worse with West Ham than they should have expected. How would darragh feel if Harry upsticked to the England job and Avram was parachuted in? Would you be pleased/confident about that appointment?

good question, tbf.

i'd be cautious, definitely. but a little dour practicality to balance our player's natural attacking exuberance would, imo, make us a top three team.

rafa's who we really need.

nah seriously grant's failure to hilariously shiv some cunt stands right out

Owner of a Homely Face (Noodle Vague), Friday, 5 November 2010 01:46 (fourteen years ago)

That's v unfair on grant, he also got chelsea to their only CL final. And they had a huge points finish in the league that year (plus jose had dropped his share early on)

As for Portsmouth, they had a points deduction and all the financial stuff, and he did get them to an FA Cup final.

May yet be optimistic, but things seem to be starting to click, tentatively.
