in fifa/proevo the game finishes and given default score 3-0...
is that the rule in real life?

i think points are awarded to the other team, yeah

I thought if one side lost 4 it was game over 3-0 tbh

No, it is 5.
Can't believe Warnock would try to game the system.
― 3:10 to Your Ma (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 1 December 2010 12:33 (fourteen years ago)
what about goal diff?
what if you only need to lose by <= 3 goals to win the league and you're 4-0 down with 5 mins to go and then decide to absolutely rake the opponents until you get all your players sent off? (did this on pro evo to my flatmate fyi when losing 4-0)
― Eto'o ))) (ken c), Wednesday, 1 December 2010 12:34 (fourteen years ago)
then you'd win the league and get fined 20k for bringing the league into disrepute.
Ps big teams dont lose 4-0
― Goths in Home & Away in my lifetime (darraghmac), Wednesday, 1 December 2010 12:35 (fourteen years ago)
The FA steps in and fines you a gajillion points.
― 3:10 to Your Ma (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 1 December 2010 12:36 (fourteen years ago)
I have this dream scenario where it gets to the last game of the season and Rangers need to beat Celtic 4-0 to win the league and we have to go out and get 5 players sent off before they can get the goals. Imagine the cheers for every "tackle".
xp ^ken c getting it :)

pretty disconcerting to be fully reminded of warnock's former antics - not that anyone wants to believe it but these days he's a gentlemanly old uncle to the point of parody.

i think real madrid tried to do this when they attempted to murder messi and clotheslined puyol 360 degrees on monday night.

haven't paid much attention to the guy since last season's Wolves-Palace cup tie sealed my undying emnity. do they not have to wheel him on in one of those Hannibal Lecter straitjackets any more then?

that was some serious cuntishness, remember watching it at the time and being suitably outraged. Megson not happy

think literally the only incident vaguely approaching gamesmanship was shaun derry getting himself booked on purpose to miss the match before cardiff. and i doubt dezza needed any outside instruction on that one.
xp no before and after any match all he ever says is "ooh crackin match that were, great advert for the championship" with humorous sympathies for the opposing team.
his lack of football cavemanship has shocked me totally: correctly assessed that a 4-4-2 was inadequate for the players we had and instead has us playing your modish 4-2-3-1 instead, so every player is playing to their particular strengths (derry & faurlin's lack of pace perfect for sitting mids, while all our amcs would be next to useless as wingers.) no shackles on taarabt whatsoever - even made him captain to sate his vanity - only caveat being that if players pass to him in their own half they get fined. opting for the ballplaying connolly at centre back rather than hulks like hall and stewart.
only thing i miss from the ultra-aesthete magilton days is the conservative mistrust of constructive distribution from the keeper tbh.

I left The Oval shortly after tea. With the family in Cornwall I had a couple of hours cycling round Richmond Park and felt much better for it.
I don't understand all these boy racers who come flying past, they don't look at anything. When I see deer I stop and admire what a beautiful sight they are. You can get really close to them. On Wednesday I found myself confronted by two stags in one of the wilder parts of the park. I couldn't have been more than six or seven metres away. They just looked at me and I found myself talking to them. I said, "I tried to sign them, what more could I do?" One stag seemed to shake his head. We chatted on, then eventually I said, "Cheerio, see you next week".

Three men sent off. Two more withdrawn injured. Game abandoned because of a lack of football morals as much as a lack of players.
is this incentive ilx needs to get a rolling phil mcnulty thread?

"Anyone who knows Gary Megson knows he's the biggest moaner around.
"The way he goes on on the bench is an absolute disgrace sometimes.
"Gary has to look in the mirror and put his own house in order."

i met him for a piece we did in my old job and the reason the above is true is that he'll give you a lot of time, and is actually ultra nice when you come to do something. not defending him as such but that is the reason.
