not the FA cup, there is still some residual giving a fuck about that.

europa league is a tough one, obv teams in it often who don't take it seriously, it's below them or whatever, but otoh for teams from small countries or small teams this is as good as it's going to get in europe. really there should be a shake-up and champs league should be exclusively for champions, and europa league would be of a higher quality, but that's not going to happen.

league cup is a bit like the europa league. how the fuck are birmingham going to win anything except for that bar getting relegated.

i am caring about the scottish league cup on sunday just because it's against rangers and we haven't won any silverware since 2009 but tbh i am generally a bit whatevs about it here usually. and that's not a unique, or new sentiment. celtic supporters' song from 1988 went roughly like this:

dance now wherever you may be
we lost the Skol (league) cup at pittodrie
but the Skol cup's shite and we don't give a fuck
cause we'll win the league and the scottish cup.

voted carling cup. FA cup still has a bit of interest, europa league can pit some interesting teams sometimes (that then look shit but still).

europa league is kinda crappy which is a pity. the fact that they allow champs league runners up a spot ruins it. carling cup is utterly pointless though lets be honest.

The Carling is waste but the Europa is maybe even more pointless and rote. Think the FA Cup has been near ruined by the FA's casual disregard for it but at least there's history there. Voted Carling because hey at least we'll never see the likes of Birmingham in Europe oh shi

Really pissed me off that spues villa everton treated uefa cup with such contempt. Think each club was out of step with fans .

makes me sad to see proud footballing dynasties subjected to slumming it thru the sludge that is the europa league

in spain apparently they don't give too much of a fuck about the copa del rey. so having an FA cup and a league cup is stretching the care factor.

This pleases me. What would it be like if these actually were abolished and it was just league all year, every year, except for the big boys sleepwalking through the CL group stages? I want to say it'd be tedium, but I'm not convinced that's not what we've got already.
