It's really not xps - I take more of an interest in French footy than most here and I never ever end up watching Lille.

In fact, I now definitely know I've never seen him because I just gis'ed him and it turns out that contrary to my understanding he's white. I must've got him and Lukaku mixed up somehow.

Ismael Klata, Monday, 9 May 2011 21:37 (fourteen years ago)

i've watched him a handful of times in the past two years, mostly for belguim instead of lille and atm he is like aaron lennon but with actual footballing ability and brilliant technique.

On 15 July 2010, Real Madrid confirmed the transfer of León, for €10 million.[8][9]

During the course of 2010–11, however, León appeared rarely for Real Madrid: after assuming he would start against AJ Auxerre in the Champions League in late September, he was immediately dropped from the list of 18 by coach José Mourinho.[14] Later, he was ridiculed in the press by his own manager when the latter justified his absence.[15]

Additionally, León was also not allowed to leave on loan in the winter transfer window, after renewed interest from Chelsea.[17] In March 2011, after the market had closed, Hércules CF tried to acquire the player in the same predicament, following Tote's severe knee injury, but Real Madrid refused again

xp león apparently played a game where he ignored mourinho's gameplan and just did what he felt like. unsurprisingly that sort of did for his madrid career.

Think Kun could generate the biggest cash offer potentially, but now that Chelsea have blown/invested £50 mill on Torres not sure who else has the money, although could be a tevez replacement at City I guess.

pandemic, Tuesday, 10 May 2011 14:22 (fourteen years ago)

Most of this lot aren't going anywhere I reckon. Tevez to Real probably, although a ludicrous Kaka transfer to Man City where he flops and spend the second half of the season on the bench/at Galatasary on loan might be a possibility.

Matt DC, Tuesday, 10 May 2011 14:42 (fourteen years ago)

inter has shown a lot of interest in tevez, would not rule that out considering their failed season. juventus will probably try to buy every striker in the world just like last summer but this time it's said they will actually have a spending budget to match their ambitions, which theoretically could mean benzema (jose still hates him?) or kun (about time he moved?) i guess

sonderangerbot, Tuesday, 10 May 2011 15:29 (fourteen years ago)

Kakà back to Milan is the most inevitable move ever. Egomaniac Drogba reunited with egomaniac mentor Mourinho at god's own Real Madrid has a similar ordering-the-universe feel about it.

I most want to see who punts on Lukaku, and for how much. Mid-teen-millions to understudy Dzeko is the most underwhelming prospect I can imagine here.

My vote is currently tormenting Once Caldas in the Libertadores quarterfinals. Love Robinho but I don't think he's ever been as direct or single-minded in attack as this kid looks to be already. It's as if C-Ron had skipped 2003-06 and gone straight to scoring mode. Not saying he'll be *that* good soon or ever, just that he's obviously not content stuck out on the left wing doing stepovers.

Anyway at 18 years 5 days old and with no experience outside the Belgian league Lukaku is the kind of luxury gamble only a Real Madrid or whoever can afford. I think Llorente or even Forlán would make more sense (imagine the latter would have to take a serious pay cut though).
