That is excellent, thanks. Wish it had passing stats - still don't know where to go for those except Guardian chalkboards and that one iPhone app for the Champions League.

Surprised it matches received wisdom so closely.

Ismael Klata, Monday, 16 May 2011 18:01 (thirteen years ago)

eh? hardly.

No Pav

Britain, the 51sb State (darraghmac), Monday, 16 May 2011 18:03 (thirteen years ago)

Include Eredivisie for a "big six" and Suárez jumps to btwn RVP and Di Natale I'd wager.

boxall, Monday, 16 May 2011 18:09 (thirteen years ago)

i don't think it combines stints at different clubs- carroll and bent appear to have entries dealing with time at newcastle and villa only from what i saw earlier

Britain, the 51sb State (darraghmac), Monday, 16 May 2011 18:10 (thirteen years ago)

That is excellent, thanks. Wish it had passing stats - still don't know where to go for those except Guardian chalkboards and that one iPhone app for the Champions League.

― boxall, Monday, 16 May 2011 18:35 (1 hour ago)

This will probably sound like a stupid question, but does that Champions League iPhone app only work on an iPhone? I can't use it on my laptop can I?

Chris, Monday, 16 May 2011 19:12 (thirteen years ago)

I hope it's not a stupid question because I've wondered the same! Apparently it's compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch but nothing as cumbersome as a, you know, computer. Frustrating. /opta

boxall, Monday, 16 May 2011 19:30 (thirteen years ago)

lol, never mind. Thanks for the info!

Chris, Monday, 16 May 2011 19:40 (thirteen years ago)

Ismael Klata, Friday, 27 May 2011 18:13 (thirteen years ago)

whoscored.com is pretty thorough too, despite the name.

boxall, Friday, 27 May 2011 18:49 (thirteen years ago)

Where are those figures from, boxall?

Smells like a geography book (Chris), Friday, 8 July 2011 14:52 (thirteen years ago)

whoscored.com

I thought you would like that one, given the name at the top.

boxall, Friday, 8 July 2011 14:59 (thirteen years ago)

sandro will get up there given a full season.

Song! Glad sam couldn't find that stat last week tbh.

VIRGIN ROO (darraghmac), Friday, 8 July 2011 14:59 (thirteen years ago)

Lovely stuff. Interesting that Holden's second in the list - I've been reading up on DMs we should be looking at who would complement Lucas and who would provide competition for him, and a few people have suggested Holden. Must pay more attention to him next season. I like Mulumbu, too.

Smells like a geography book (Chris), Friday, 8 July 2011 15:08 (thirteen years ago)

west brom have put a nice price on him iirc

one year passes...

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2012/aug/16/manchester-city-player-statistics

This is awesome. Also due to this article I'm now picturing Kompany leading a ComStat session in an Etihad conference room, Clichy and Savic shifting nervously in their seats.

That looks like it'll be a good read, but it misspells "role" as "roll" seven times!

boxall, Thursday, 16 August 2012 16:36 (twelve years ago)

The Guardian have crunched some of the numbers made available by City.

Van Persie better in the air than I'd have thought if I'm reading things correctly.

pandemic, Wednesday, 22 August 2012 11:44 (twelve years ago)

proof that Drogba has little aptitude in front of goal. I'm convinced.

pandemic, Wednesday, 22 August 2012 11:45 (twelve years ago)

modric owns the creativity/dribbling/passing stat but his first touch is terrible????

pandemic, Wednesday, 22 August 2012 11:53 (twelve years ago)

haha they've even given each player a FM Manager style rating.

pandemic, Wednesday, 22 August 2012 12:08 (twelve years ago)

pretty sure aguero is worthy of better than 11/20 for finishing.
