He wasn't a big thing at France 1998, it annoys me to see programmes about it which put him at centre stage and totally ignore Stephane Guivarc'h.

Voted San Siro, largely as a placeholder for the hat-trick away to Roma in 2002.

When I replay the 98 WC final in my head it's always Dugarry up front instead of Guivarc'h, though I know he was a substitute and not too effective either.

That Bernabeu match is completely overshadowed by Tyldesley's "do not adjust your sets" thing. Henry is ill-served by memory.

Watched the opening match of WC '02 (France 0-1 Senegal) in a math class, with the sound off, a compromise grudgingly assented to by our teacher. I remember Henry getting a straight red after 10' or so, though I'm sure it'll turn out to have been closer to 30' if I look it up. A friend and I pantomimed shock at one another across the room.

So it was 25', and not even the right match. I suppose I watched both in the same class. France intl fuckups blend together so easily.

I'm glad that interview with the clueless American TV hosts isn't a poll option, that was painful to watch.
