Baobab Galliwasplie (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 30 October 2011 10:28 (thirteen years ago)

Hate piss-weak defending, love John Terry falling over. Not difficult.

On balance, the 5-3. I didn't really enjoy the 6-1 much.

6-1 was kind of 3-1 11 against 10, with 3 goals added in the end

5-3 was like a rollercoaster of emotions and fortunes kind of like reading the bible but with even more bigotry and more slippery floors

Gary Numan, or Gary Fletcher (ken c), Tuesday, 1 November 2011 02:49 (thirteen years ago)

heard a rumour that if you play the 5-3 alongside happy gilmore it syncs *perfectly*

Chelsea can be a plodding but efficient team; a group of highly paid whores who, when managed with the right touch and the right tactics can be very hard to beat. Man City looked like they might turn into the same thing; a bunch of overpaid journeymen who might or might not gel into a real team. United have a grit about them, whether it's for the fans or 'cause they don't want to get shoes and whatnot thrown at their heads in the dressing room, that often see them through. I've often said that scoring early against United usually gets there goat and they end up pummeling you.

After Arsenal's disastrous start and 8-2 thrashing, it was nice to see them regain some confidence even if it's just due to van Injury being back on the pitch in good form. Their beating of Chelsea was as much about heart - their abundance and Chelsea's lack thereof - as it was about players and tactics imho. Otoh, I'm sticking w/1-6 because I've never seen Man U's defense crumble like that and I've never heard anything out of Ferguson like his critique post-game that they had left themselves exposed from attacking too deeply. Attacking relentlessly is what United do. That's why Rooney fits there as well as anywhere else he might play. Yeah, Evans was a dolt and left them down to 10 men but the way City demolished them and they way they fell apart under the onslaught was something I've never seen.

tbf if we don't totally gub Wigan on Sunday some may call for McCarthy's sacking

Agyness Dei (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 2 November 2011 16:57 (thirteen years ago)

Can't see a gubbing occurring tbh

R. Stornoway (Tom D.), Wednesday, 2 November 2011 16:58 (thirteen years ago)

it's a strange fixture cos i think a gubbing is nigh on inevitable, but i couldn't call the gubber

occupy wall street 2: rummy never sleeps (darraghmac), Wednesday, 2 November 2011 17:00 (thirteen years ago)

Or the gubbee

The sun is also expected to rise that morning.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 2 November 2011 17:03 (thirteen years ago)

srsly tho anything less than a comfortable-ish win on Sunday and I think the cunt's on his way

Agyness Dei (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 2 November 2011 17:15 (thirteen years ago)

Do Wolves fans have any idea who their next manager's going to be/who they want? The potential for fucking this up and ending up with some caretaker loser who ensures you finish bottom is pretty high surely?

Matt DC, Wednesday, 2 November 2011 17:19 (thirteen years ago)

as opposed to the lumpen twat we've got now? yeah that danger always exists. i dunno, it's still pretty split on wanting him to go, a lot of people - at least in local media so fuck those guys tbh - seem to think he has to stay. i'd rather go down than stick with him now tbh, he's a charming dolt who plays lumpen football and seems to think he's exempt from criticism.

Agyness Dei (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 2 November 2011 17:24 (thirteen years ago)

we're often passing it really nicely in the middle half of the pitch where it doesn't fucking matter, tbf
