Hold on, Wenger's not you having a laugh?!

Ismael Klata, Friday, 4 November 2011 15:25 (thirteen years ago)

yeah what is that about?

mizzell, Friday, 4 November 2011 15:29 (thirteen years ago)

on the last 12 months? Pep pips Klopp/Low. Uruguay were super organised and clinically efficient at the copa mind you.

Arsene Wenger

Even during tough times, Arsene Wenger has remained faithful to his attack-minded, teamwork-based principles and approach. The second half of the 2010/11 campaign was difficult for Arsenal, as the team could only manage a final placing of fourth in the Premier League, but they nevertheless secured a spot in the UEFA Champions League by successfully negotiating the play-off round at the start of the following season.

In the 2010/11 edition of the tournament, the Gunners pulled off a remarkable victory over Barcelona in the first leg of their Round of 16 encounter, but could not hang on to their lead in the return leg in Catalonia. Wenger continues to unearth a host of talented young players, bringing them through the ranks and frequently selling them on for healthy profits.

sonderangerbot, Friday, 4 November 2011 15:58 (thirteen years ago)

Yeah that'll please the Arsenal fans. He's nominated for making profit and not spending.

I do like Wenger but this is a terrible slight on Avram Grant.

Anyway, voted Tabarez because I feel Guardiola's gone too far with this no-defence thing and damned if I'm going for Mourinho.

Ismael Klata, Friday, 4 November 2011 16:02 (thirteen years ago)

barca have had 9 clean sheets in a row i think

pandemic, Friday, 4 November 2011 16:04 (thirteen years ago)

Fair point, I'm being a Luddite here. Would vote Pulis.

Ismael Klata, Friday, 4 November 2011 16:12 (thirteen years ago)

get the feeling Guardiola isnt exactly a hands-on type of coach

Michael B Higgins (Michael B), Friday, 4 November 2011 16:41 (thirteen years ago)

although Barca do close down brilliantly

Michael B Higgins (Michael B), Friday, 4 November 2011 16:45 (thirteen years ago)

from 2009 - present

Redknapp > Wenger

And that's not maybe

blind pele (darraghmac), Friday, 4 November 2011 16:46 (thirteen years ago)

Selection criterion:

•The winner must demonstrate the values of respect and fair play both on and off the pitch

That's Mourinho out then.

Matt DC, Friday, 4 November 2011 16:49 (thirteen years ago)

u seldom see deems put in a kind word for his twitchy overlord

Nigel Farage is a fucking hero (nakhchivan), Friday, 4 November 2011 16:49 (thirteen years ago)

cuz u would think after jol and ramos he will have been delighted

Nigel Farage is a fucking hero (nakhchivan), Friday, 4 November 2011 16:50 (thirteen years ago)

I'm wondering how long it'll be before FIFA are basically forced to stop being sniffy about Man City. Including Wenger and not Mancini here is str8 up challops.

Matt DC, Friday, 4 November 2011 16:51 (thirteen years ago)

Wenger obviously doesn't belong in this company, no one will vote for him, let's not do this.

I would've characterized Guardiola as very hands-on, I've seen him calling out instructions on the touchline in the pouring rain with no coat on while already 3 goals up.

boxall, Friday, 4 November 2011 16:51 (thirteen years ago)

deems will have been aware that, while nits will have been picked, his bread will have been buttered on a definite side

blind pele (darraghmac), Friday, 4 November 2011 16:53 (thirteen years ago)

these lists are always full of the same names

from 2k5 to 2k9 or so john terry would literally have had to ethnically cleanse cobham not to have got his spot

this year forlan was mostly awful but got a nomination for a few moments in a fifa ratified competition

Nigel Farage is a fucking hero (nakhchivan), Friday, 4 November 2011 16:54 (thirteen years ago)

fair enough boxall, let's leave wenger aside

Mancini had a kinda shitty year last year tbph, three months this autumn is nothing special or else pardew is a nominee too.

blind pele (darraghmac), Friday, 4 November 2011 16:54 (thirteen years ago)

He did get them in the CL as well.

Despite a few weeks of Lolchelsea you'd still be able to make a pretty decent case for AVB. Klopp as well.

Fergie took a pretty shit United team to a title and a Champions League final. But yeah it's Guardiola.

Matt DC, Friday, 4 November 2011 16:56 (thirteen years ago)

pounds per point, mancini rates below pulis

blind pele (darraghmac), Friday, 4 November 2011 17:02 (thirteen years ago)

uhm stoke are owned by bet365, get interestfree loans from same and spend plenty of money but mainly on waste like kraatxi and jerome

In the 2010/11 edition of the tournament, the Gunners pulled off a remarkable victory over Barcelona in the first leg of their Round of 16 encounter

Plucky little Arsenal, it was their cup final you know, glad just be on the same pitch etc

R. Stornoway (Tom D.), Friday, 4 November 2011 17:16 (thirteen years ago)

I made the mistake of adjusting my set, then look what happened

Ismael Klata, Friday, 4 November 2011 17:34 (thirteen years ago)

I voted Löw cos I like watching Germany and he wears nice clothes.
