tbh, i've not had time to watch all the epl nor cl i'd have usually done, let alone other leagues- lyfe circumstance means gf-less evenings and weekends are now rip. I just thought someone would pick up the slack.

Still here, mostly lurking out of habit, have nothing to say. Might spring into action when Hearts go bust.

I posted at length about my ennui on the fish thread, then got overtaken by events. I'm Olympicked and Euroed out basically, plus the fundamental problem that this season's exactly the same as last season except Chelsea are good and Liverpool look different.

Some good games, I'll post at length when I'm watching them, but otherwise few ideas and not much to say. I'm still aiming at the Fever Pitch book club, I'll get a schedule up when I've got a minute. Other than that I'm all out.

Yeah I've not been seeing as many games as I'd like, I've been doing acting classes or a play for three nights (or two nights and a day) a week, since January.

And LFC haven't changed enough for there to be too much to say.

my football watching has dropped a lot this year, I always forget about MOTD and MOTD2 and worse still I'm usually out pursuing knowledge on Tuesday and Wednesday and sometimes Thursday evenings, so I find out about European results when I check my phone on the way home. Without ILF I'd be in the wilderness.

The season has pretty much continued as it left off for most of the teams we support, irrespective of any personnel changes. Spurs and Arsenal are still flaky, Liverpool are still failing to win games, Manchester United are still winning despite not looking great and QPR under Hughes are still QPR under Hughes. That limits the amount worth talking about sometimes.

I mostly lurk, not been watching as much football as I'd like this season (though I just got Sky Sports, so been watching a bit more). No one wants to hear me gloat on the rare occasion Norwich take a point, and the start of the season was so depressing I didn't even want to read the Moneyball thread to spare my sensitive feelings from the (deserved) criticism/joeks we were undoubtedly receiving.

I also have the worst memory, particularly for names, so when a thread gets all 'aye, remember that goal from the cup final in nineteen dickety two...' I'm as puzzled as our American NUFC fan.

This is a problem though. ILX as a whole is big enough to avoid injokes, but ILF and individual threads aren't. If what we're offering the casual reader is a load of shorthand about twp, bgitw or will have known, and all the meta behind that, no wonder they're not posting.

Keep it straightforward imo, and any rate keep it out of the thread titles.
