In which I point out that I'm not quite the historical idiot Matt DC would have you believe

mainly by virtue of posting shit like this when i come across it:

ic moments of brilliance marred by regular injuries? I've had Damien Duff painted as a Spurs player for some time. If he can stay fit, I can't imagine many fullbacks wanting to play against a team with Duff and Lennon running at them. Zokora strikes me as a good signing as well - less sure about Berbatov.

Now sign some fullbacks please, Martin. Most of our points dropped last season were down to Stalteri and Lee fucking up.

you can play too, but let's try to keep the focus on when matt was badly, badly wrong

We will when Berbatov leaves at the end of next season. £16.5m is a bit much though, but he's a good signing. He's scored a lot of goals playing on his own upfront for a shit team, remember. He could be amazing, potentially. But he won't get in the first team right now.

Not sure about Torres to Liverpool. Surely managers have realised by now that La Liga isn't the most reliable hunting ground if they want players to adapt to the Premiership?

In my defence the first one was before either had played a game for Spurs - Zokora had just had a decent World Cup and I'd not seen Berbatov play.

The second one is a well documented clanger, I was still hubristic after being the first person to call it on Shevchenko bombing.

Evans has needed a run for a while, still think there's a defender in there somewhere tbh
