My theory is that the 'technical' or 'creative' aspects of their play would be better appreciated if they more closely resembled our platonic ideal of that player - Adrien Rabiot, perhaps?

Cambiasso, if only for putting the finishing touches to that 31 pass goal.

Bradley. I always thought he was a terrific, tidy player, but for some reason seems to have been pretty much unrated 'til recently.

Valero. Cambiasso was about as hyped a player could be come the dying days of Jose's Inter.

If Zidane had come through the ranks in a more rigid footballing culture, maybe he'd've been forced into a holding role. Perhaps he'd've been cover for Petit to roam further forward. Or he's a big lad, he could've done a job at centre back. He could even have been a proto-David Luiz; how we'd swoon as he sashayed into midfield, before remembering to snigger at the very pretension.

Vintage Marsden from his days at Huddersfield. It'd be a good seven or eight years before he had his first top-flight game.

On 30 June 2010, he signed a one-year deal to coach Ethiopia.[16] Under the contract received a monthly salary of $13,000, free accommodation, a car, two free air tickets and phone service.

Onuora was sacked by Ethiopia in April 2011.[18]
