Doughty's looked ok the times he's turned out for us, though haven't seen much from him recently. Our real star loan player is Mehdi Abeid from Newcastle. Bit of class there.

mcanuff, mccleary, robson-kanu- worth a punt? or highlights reel players?

Bosswinger might be worth a shout. And Remy
Yeah Remy. For lower mid-table sides I wouldn't necessarily turn my nose up at Junior Hoilett or Park Ji Sung either, even now. Is there any hope of Samba getting good again? And what about ALF? I'd have that guy on my bench any day
― Windsor Davies, Sunday, 21 April 2013 10:54 (twelve years ago)
Had no idea Rob Hulse was still under contract at the Super Hoops. Had forgotten about Andrew Johnson as well.

If Remy could avoid a Shawxing he'd be good for 30 goals in the Champ next season.
― pandemic, Sunday, 21 April 2013 11:00 (twelve years ago)
Remy is meant to have a relegation release clause, I think.

I thought boswinga had been a typical luxury mistake?

QPR: Remy; Taarabt and Julio Cesar would be good signings but there're good reasons not to do so; the rest I dunno.
Reading: nobody; that lot were a good championship side a year ago and will be again soon.
Wigan: quite a few; Scharner and Maloney should be helping someone else struggle next year; Kone should do better.
I'm pretty sure we'll be struggling to pick out Norwich players in a year's time.

the very definition of hrp's imo. not much i'm glad for not having as a qpr sufferer but reading's midfield is certainly one of them. kebe is a proper player though, albeit flaky and made of glass. matchwinner on his day etc
strangely enough for the bottom side reading's cbs are arguably of most interest; not together as they are now but alongside better complementary players they could possibly do a job. pearce is a deluxe championship cb (slow, can't pass, otherwise effective), mariappa does the basics, morrison very raw but may be very good eventually
alex mccarthy is the biggest draw however, as liverpool fans will no doubt advise
― r|t|c, Sunday, 21 April 2013 11:58 (twelve years ago)
pearce has been consistently linked with liverpool for some reason iirc, lol imo

I missed that game xp, just assumed it was the usual glorious one-off

Apologies, relevant thread updated. Is there a spurs defender would make it in the championship

As things stand QPR have 25 established players whose contracts run at least until the end of next season. Rob Green, Luke Young, Anton Ferdinand, Armand Traoré, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Shaun Derry, Alejandro Faurlín, Park Ji-sung, Jermaine Jenas, Stéphane Mbia, Bobby Zamora, Andy Johnson, Jay Bothroyd and Djibril Cissé have 12 months remaining; José Bosingwa, Adel Taarabt, Joey Barton and Jamie Mackie have two years still to run; Júlio César, Nedum Onuoha, Samba Diakité, Junior Hoilett and Esteban Granero signed contracts that expire in 2016 while Christopher Samba and Loïc Rémy have another four years left on their deals.

"The silly thing about this game is the ones you want to keep are the ones who want to go, and the ones that you would like to let go don't want to go," Redknapp said.

Who is Chris Samba's last game going to be against, I ask myself
