a friend of mine gives her toddlers what she called "organic junk food" which i recall being these little rice cracker things
what do you do for snacks? some kids seem to just want to eat all the time

Aidan isn't so much of a snacker now, but when I first started back at work he was eating all the time.
Breadsticksfruit - apple, grapes, orange/clematines, bananarice cakes, though not toddler ones as they're overpriced, just got no added salt big onesAny of the organix stuff that your friend probably refers to as organic junk food. raisins, though tried to limit them as they're not great for teethsmoothie pouches, again not great for teeth

I used to give my two little cups of frozen sweet corn and petite peas, along with dry puffed (unsweetened) cereals.

Fruit, rice cakes, babybel and breadsticks are the healthy mainstays although Howie (who is a real grazer) has a definite preference for bourbon biscuits and Quavers.

Alice's favourite snack is oatcakes, though for a long time it was just plain wholemeal bread, the weirdo. Also breadsticks, rice cakes, raisins, banana. Unsalted crisps and whatever (vegan) biscuits are going when we do depart from the healthier stuff. Very few actual branded 'kids' snacks - more expensive than grown-up stuff and not necessarily better for them as far as I can tell. Obv need to keep an eye on salt and sugar levels though.

plain wholemeal bread
We are using this right now when J has trouble getting to sleep. It has worked like a charm for the past few months. I will cry honest tears when it stops working (like taking a long car ride eventually did - R.I.P.).
Fortunately, he mainly only eats when you sit down and remind him. The only fruit I can get him to eat are strawberries. I made him celery with peanut butter (because raisins are black) the other week, which seemed to go well, but I'm not going to push it too hard. I've been making popcorn as a snack recently.
(this makes it sound like he's a finicky eater, but when you get him in front of a dinner plate, he'll eat enough of whatever you put in front of him, as long as it isn't spicy or contain too many items that are red or black). : )

I was sent into a panic by a fellow nursery parent at lunchtime today - she noticed that Alice had a peanut butter sandwich. 'Oh I thought we weren't allow to give them peanuts because of the kid who's allergic'. But surely this only applies to lunches that we send in with them if they are staying over lunch, not to things we give them if we take them out?? Or is it possible to be so allergic that you can't even be around someone who has eaten PB earlier that day??

I have to agree, my local store has started selling salt and vinegar crispy nori and despite the rediculous $4/10g price tag, I can't get enough.
