just about everything else i can handle but now i'm supposed to be good at cutting hair??? good GOD. everything looks like a bowl cut! this weekend i had some moderate success with a tip a friend gave me - keep the hair wet and try to cut "vertically" rather than horizontally, i.e. get the hair between your fingers like the pros do and hold it in a vertical line, and cut that. it seemed to sorta work. KIND OF.

I am very fortunate indeed to be married to a woman with whom I gladly entrust my own haircuts, so the kids are in good hands.

I'm lucky in that Aidan's hair isn't poker straight, so is forgiving if the cut isn't perfect. I do it as you've been advised, it only ever gets cut one length all over though, approx. the same length as the width of my index and middle finger! Though I do it on dry hair. And it doesn't matter if it's horizontal or vertical - I go all over and both ways, so that all the hair ends up being the same length. Assuming A lets me spend that much time on it.

alternatively, take him to the barbers! Or at least try it, A screamed blue murder last time we tried it, hence the home cuts.
i take my son to the barbers, boys regular. He loves it.
