I was cleaning up out in the shop after the tree fell on Easter -- picked up my copy of the Robt Rauschenberg limited edition of Speaking in Tongues from a high shelf, and the LP slipped out of the sleeve and blew into a thousand pieces.

my first copy of al green explores your mind, i left you on the turntable by the window one afternoon. it was winter but the sun came out and shone directly on you for the next couple of days and the glass and curtains made a hothouse. when i got home you had a 45 degree warp. i tried to forget how stupid i'd been. i even got another copy, but you were special and i still blame myself.
