back in the glory days of BOOTLEG 7'S I had a Psychic TV live at Variety Arts boot with an etched b-side, colored vinyl, I thought it was awesome

I think EPs are OK places for etched vinyl, if you've actually gone so far as to record a whole half an album though you might as well finish the job

Often used for albums not quite long enough to fill a double though – three sides of music, one of “aht”

I have that Noise Addict recd, both in official blue release and black test pressing ;_;
