14. TEX RITTER – COWBOY

BD27 Binder with 4 Records – San Antonio Rose/ Blood On The AVE+$15
Saddle/ Try Me One More Time/ The Chisolm Trail/ Boll Weevil
Rounded Up In Glory/ Rye Whisky

(by his grading standards AVE+ is actually a rather high grade--it is his substitution for the E(+/-) grade.)

i saw it and then i posted this:

i just got tons of great cowboy and country 78s in. i need something to play them on. i used to have a turntable for 78s but not any more. i really want to have a section for 78s. even got some good pre-war country stuff.

i'll buy pre-war country 78s from you if they sound okay. but i guess you'd need a 78 turntable to play 'em.

i don't think i've ever heard the no neck band. weird, huh? just never bought any of their records. and never saw them live even though they used to play in philly when i lived there way back when.

scott seward, Thursday, 12 November 2009 21:45 (fifteen years ago) link

sometimes i would subconsiously recoil from bands if i thought they were too hip for me. which is silly, but what are ya gonna do. i've still never heard sunburned hand of the man.

scott seward, Thursday, 12 November 2009 21:47 (fifteen years ago) link

nnck and sunburned are both alright. better live than on record, generally. ilxor sexydancer used to be in nnck you know!

ian, Thursday, 12 November 2009 21:58 (fifteen years ago) link

i did not know that. i think my brother has played with both bands. er, not WITH them, but you know what i mean.
