My friends do a fanzine called Fancy. I doubt you've heard of it. They write about hot dogs, fashion, and every issue has a column called "Obscured Music." My friend Amy invited me to write the column for next issue, the general criteria being the more obscure the better & the less written about them in print/online, the better. I am kind of at a loss for what to write about. Something related to 78s? Private press LPs? The Happy & Artie Traum LPs that no one else seems to give a fuck about?
Previous subjects of the column have included Thai 60s beat-sike groups, unknown R&B singers etc.
