I used to love REM back when Stipe was Mr Mumbles Mysterioso but heard Losing My Religion on the radio the other day and, man, does he sound like an out'o'tune goat.

yeah i dug them pretty much until the end of the world as we know it album. liked everything before that a bunch. loved their john cougar album at the time a lot. the one with superman on it. i wish they had just made a couple more like that.

i haven't listened to that much death in june, but some of their neo-folk stuff makes the nu-freak folk people look pretty shabby. same with current 93. they were all over shirley collins when espers was in short pants.
