its like a mirror into my soul...
actually, to be honest, the south african stuff isn't really a mirror into my soul. i got that stuff cuz i thought it would look pretty in my store.

i always have to rescue that andy pratt record from dollar bins now. i'm gonna start hoarding them. that record is radical.

so anyway, i got to this place right after they had gotten, like, 20 boxes of stuff from some guy who had worked at rounder records. so its all unplayed rounder-distributed stuff. that's where most of the stuff i bought came from. maria got good stuff too. the guy there let me look in back - he offered! i didn't say a thing - where there was still ten boxes of stuff. i didn't even look through them all. i had been there a while. i felt full. i decided to leave some good records for the masses. they don't deserve them though. and i'm still thinking about the boxes i didn't look in...

Christ that's a score! I really want Gangsters Of Love – S/T and love the William Truckaway record. Is Gene Parsons' Melodies as good as Kindling?

sadly, its a little warped. still plays fine though. and most of this stuff is in fine shape. never played. but a few things had warpage. maybe just the way they were stacked in boxes since the 80's. i dunno.

Listen to "Avenging Annie" and then the Bee Gees' "Stayin' Alive" and try to convince yourself that it ain't the same guy singing the falsetto lead....
Yeah, i've been totally getting into this album too, i'd grab it for 99 cents anyday. Follow-up LP Resolution also excellent.
