First platter with the new cartridge. I got an AT120E which is unpopular around here but I've got a dumb table, too (stanton str8-60). It all sounds great to my ears, though.

played it only once, but loved what i heard. radio drama stuff (no surprise), but occasionally also some vintage broadcast melodies coming through, if that makes sense. download code active since yesterday, so i'll be spending some more time with it during my commute

This is really good! She plays a hand harp with a faint drum machine to entertain passengers on a cruise! Great version of If You Go Away, I really can't imagine people relaxing on a cruise deck listening to her sad haunting folk music.

Found this at a junk shop in east tx and bought it because of the great photo of the band on the back, turns out it's really amazing country lounge with organ, sax, and guitar. They were from Tyler TX. It's the organ/sax that really pushes their sound into a weird late night zone. One of the best surprises I've picked up.

it was killer. annie's dad is out here visiting til today -- we got a beach house in trinidad, CA with annie's brother simon and his gf last week. we ate amazing food, kicked it in the hot tub, watched freaks and geeks, hiked, and i finally retrieved the last of the KHSU records from simon's office. i mailed eight boxes of media mail from up there, and drove home four more. im already making hella $$ on rap 12"s from japanese dudes B-D
