I can honestly say that I've enjoyed the company of ever ILXor I've met and that everyone else mostly seem okay to me.

(At first I mistyped that as 'oaky'. Hmmm.)

No one could describe Michael White as overly oaky, he has a fine balance of fruit and tannins, and a complex, haunting finish.

to clarify, it took me a long time to ‘get’ ilx & i don’t think i would have stuck around when i found this site 5 or 6 years ago if Kate publicly working out her thinking hadn’t sucked me in (but please don’t blame her for that lol)

not to exclude any of the other fine people Kate listed, but I want to add to the appreciation for map, LL and while I'm at it...

shout out to some of the metal thread regulars for tipping me off to great stuff - original bgm, jmm, imago and NYCNative (unperson and JCLC too, of course, but I believe I've shouted out my appreciation for their posts several times in the past)

and to earlnash, Western with Bacon Flavor, tobo73, Lavator Shemmelpennick and tylerw for indulging in the Dead thread and unafraid to talk about some jamband ish

(really any of the regulars in those threads, no shade if I forgot to list you, those were the ones that popped to mine for having great posts and/or recommendations)

My birthday was two days ago. 71 down and ?? to go. Today is the 3rd anniversary of our daughter's death We are visiting the Oregon coast for several days near where we placed her ashes. It feels good to be closer to her. I'll be walking down there in a couple of hours to sit and say, hi.

But I've always wanted to make mention of three posters whom I've never met. I don't even known their IRL names, ages or anything: Grisso, Tarfumes and Dr. Casino.

I'll read one of their posts, gain something from it, tell myself I should let them know, and then move on to the next thread without telling anyone anything. The most I've been able to do is remember to remember to mention them if I ever posted on this thread again.
