My nissan had an alternator die on thursday night, and i got the thing as far as the garage two blocks away! So i'm car-less(again) assuming they get the part in on tuesday...

My parents brought a bunch of stuff down, so now I have a bike, stereo, dresser, musical instruments, among other things. We had lunch at the Thai Peacock and explored Powells. Luckily the weather decided to clear up for us.

Naw, I'm eatin' a little bit better than that, but still very much on the cheap. More like pickin' up Colby instead of Cheddar because it's 2.20 for half a pound rather than 2.50 is where I am. No matter, money should start rollin in by the beginning of November.

I had a great time in Portland this weekend:

Laurelhurst Market was delicious as was my second visit to Le Pigeon. The PSU farmers market is incredible and the Applefest had more apples than I'd ever heard of. Also, I got absolutely drenched on Saturday afternoon but at least it was never cold.

Avoid Beaker and Flask, though. Ugh.

I just want to rep again for Vintage on 79th and SE Stark. That's a cool (tiny) cocktail bar. vintagepdx.com

In that case, I'll rep again for The Country Cat next door. I'm addicted to this place. Dinner is a bit spendy, but their brunch menu is reasonable.

Hooray for subfreezing temps. I got a cold from Saturday's santacon event, and the weather since hasn't helped.

29º in seattle right now! sheesh, they told me seattle was moderate!

I wish I had a thermometer so I could confirm that it is about 40 degrees in my apartment atm.

haha the thermostat (only tells me deg in increments of 5) was btw 55 and 60 when i woke up this morning (heat off all night but some sun coming in the window!).

if I turned my heat off while I was asleep I would surely perish.

The snow's piling up here, just south of P-town. Today's offical forecast: afternoon rain and a high temp of 40.

Took me 1.5 hours to get back to NE from the Lego Store at Wash SQ.

Currently on a way-off-course #9 bus heading south on MLK, which is cool since it will take me straight by the Low Brow.

Rev -- best place to get affordable gloves (assuming you boycot Walmart) is Andy & Bax. It's the army surplus store next to the delicious Nicholas Restaurant down on SE MLK. Go!
