Finally fessed up that im gonna ditch work xmas party. I just dont like the idea of losing an entire sunday to a work function. I barely have enough time on the weekend to get shit done as it is.

Well I was vague about being able to go, the other day and me boss narrowed her eyes at me in this pleady way and was all "... whhhyyy?" making me feel bad for saying no! I mean, they went round earlier asking what ppl wanted to do and on what days and i picked "going to a restaurant in the evening" which was the other option. I mean ok, all day at wineries in yarra valley would be nice on the company ticket, sure, but... uydhgfuywr

And they keep doing this! They never have regular few-hour-long drinks or dinners. They have 3-day skiing weekends, and overnight trips to torquay. I DONT HAVE TO SPEND 7 DAYS A WEEK WITH MY WORKMATES.

yeah i mean i dig (most of) my co-workers but there is no wai i would hang out with them on the weekend for any reason that i wasn't getting callout fee and time in lieu for

One of my friends has been working way up north of WA on and off for some time now, her husband's a chef so he cooks in a mining camp or somethign and she does... i dont know what. Jim, this is milli Im talking about, can you imagine her working in a mining community I mean wtf. But this means they have this $654535432432 house in some posho perth beachside 'burb now, in their mid 20s. I hate them.
