A former co-worker once declared that he would, from that point forward, only wear brand-new never-washed socks. He would wear them once and throw them out. He decided that his salary could support it, and that since nothing felt better in the world than brand new socks, that is what he would do. I think he got bored of it after a week or two though.

I am never wearing new clothes without washing them again. I have an awful rash now. There is a lesson here for us all.

New clothes, for definate. (I am a complete fool behind an iron, but I like uncrinkled stuff, so the only solution seems to be to wear stuff once, take it back for a refund, and repeat).
